Week 6

English - We finished off our fairy-tale topic this week by writing our own persuasive texts. We imagined ourselves to be the wolf who has been wrongly accused of eating granny. We had to write a pleas, ready to appear in court to give our reasons. The children did a brilliant job, and we can't wait to share these in our class assembly soon!

Maths - We also finished our multiplication and division topic this week. The children have become pros at multiplying using columns and dividing using the bus stop method! We have also been answering word problems using these methods.

R.E - This week, we have been exploring different religions and scripture. We looked more in depth at the Torah, Quran and Bible. It was lovely to see the enthusiasm from the children when talking about their own religions!

There has been a lot of indoor play due to awful weather, so we have enjoyed doing some just dance videos to burn off some energy!

P.E - In P.E, we played games that required us to build on our teamwork skills. The children a ball in a hoop that they had to try and get into the goal without the goal keeper saving it. Then, they would have to get back to the hoop as quick as possible for their other team mate to go.

P.S.H.E - In honour of mental health week, we spoke about looking after both our physical and mental health. The children came up with some great ideas on how to look after our mental health, such as doing a hobby we love, taking a walk, or doing some breathing exercises. We then filled in a sheet with things we love that make us happy.

Valentine's Disco - We ended our half term with a disco! The children had the best time - a lovely way to end our half term.

Thank you for reading our class blog!
