A Message from the Headteacher

Christmas, Christmas, Christmas this week! It has been fabulous. Our youngest children provided Nativity Magic at Birkwood. If you were able to join us, I am certain that you'll agree. If you were unable to attend, check the vidoes below and I am certain that you too will agree! A truly magnificent effort from the staff in preparing the stars of the stage who have earned the biggest thank you and an enormous well done. Many families will have memories for life from this week.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Christmas Fayre. As always, we were terrifically supported. This is so gratefully received and shows just what an #IncredibleCommunity we truly are. The leadership of Miss Taylor & Mrs. Whitfield comes to the fore in days like this. I salute them and their loyal helpers. To work with such lovely, caring and talented people is an absolute pleasure. I am very proud of their efforts and the support that everyone gives them. Wonderful stuff! So thank you to everyone again. A special thank you too to FB's Mum who has donated an enormous amount of goodies for the selection box raffle! Also, well done and thank you to the Year 6 photographers for their super work in helping with our video.

As promsied, our latest Safeguarding information has been included in the link above.

On Monday, we were visited by John from McMillan to say a BIG thank you for all the support the school has given to this amazing charity. The sponsored events were a great success and again showed the kindness for which our school community is known.

On Wednesday, our Christmas Dinner Day, our lovely Kitchen Staff had a surprise visit from the Food Standards Agency. I am so proud to announce that they received a 5๏ธโƒฃโญ๏ธrating! Massive congratulations and thanks to Sarah & the team for looking after us all!

Perfection from Sarah & the team!

Even after their surprise visit the kitchen staff still managed to produce a fabulous Christmas Lunch. The children really enjoyed themselves, as you will see from the photos and video below.

Next week will certainly be busy as you can see below. It will be wonderful and is oftern the most hectic and exciting week of the year!
