There has been a fantastic response to our "sponsor a panel" appeal from parents. Thank you most sincerely for your generous contributions which will enable our school to avail of free green energy! This is something we can be very proud of in St Brigid's! Closing date for expression of interest is this Wednesday 22nd May- please send email to info@stbrigidsgns.ie if interested in sponsoring a panel.

We wish to thank all of our sponsors including those who prefer to remain anonymous:

School Inspection in Maths

Last week our school had an Inspection in the curricular area of maths. We were delighted with the feedback we received from the Inspectorate particularly in terms of how well maths is integrated with other subjects and students' engagement in problem solving. This was a very positive experience for us and we are excited to take on board recommendations as we look to trialing the implementation of the New Primary Maths Curriculum in the coming year. Full details of the inspection will be made available in the coming weeks.

Assessment Survey Data

Thank you to all parents who took the time to fill in our Assessment Survey. We are delighted with such a great response which will inform our policy formation going forward as part of our School Improvement Plan (SIP). You can access the survey results by clicking the button below.

Standardised Tests

Many students are completing standardised tests in literacy, numeracy and spelling at the moment. These tests provide a snapshot of your child’s achievement in a particular area of their learning and fulfill a requirement by the Department of Education. For more information click button below.

Behaviour

As we near the end of the academic year we are asking for parents' cooperation in reminding their daughters about positive behaviour- in particular about being kind, being safe and being respectful. Teachers have worked extremely hard throughout the year with students in adopting a positive approach to behaviour (SIP) and many students continue to receive principal's awards at assembly each month for their incredible efforts!
