- Kindergarten Registration Open House: Join us on Saturday, February 7, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. for our Kindergarten Registration Open House! Visit www.kaneland.org and click on “Schools” in the top right corner to find your local elementary school. There, you’ll find registration links and additional information to help you get started. Online registration opens on January 19.
- Elementary Winter Weather Procedures for Student Arrival and Recess: Kaneland Elementary Principals reminds families of the temperature guidelines for outdoor recess and arrival: recess is outdoors above 10°F, at the principal’s discretion between 1–10°F, and indoors at 0°F or lower. For morning arrival, students will be allowed inside the building anytime the temperature is 0°F or below or during inclement weather. Please send children in weather-appropriate clothing. Over 500 homemade cards from Kaneland McDole Elementary students brought joy to seniors throughout our community!
Project KC at McDole Elementary partnered with the Rotary Club of Montgomery to collect over 1,000 cans for the Small Free Food Pantry at Montgomery Village Hall. Thank you to the McDole community for your generosity and support!
KHS welcomed the Class of 2030 at the 8th Grade Open House, where hundreds of students and parents explored curriculum and course offerings, met teachers, and learned about the many activities and sports available.
Kaneland Board
The next regular Kaneland Board of Education meeting takes place on Monday, January 12 at 7:00 p.m. at Kaneland Harter Middle School. Education and HR committees will meet at 6:00 p.m. prior to the board meeting. All of these meetings are open to the public.
