HEAD COACH LINDSAY TEETERS

  • Lindsay Teeters enters her sixth season as the head coach of American University lacrosse in 2026.
  • In her first five seasons at the helm, Teeters has led the Eagles to historic team and individual success. She tied the program’s single-season wins record, coached ten All-Patriot League selections, and helped three players break into AU’s all-time top five for career points, amongst other milestones.
  • As a team in 2025, the Eagles earned a historic win over Lehigh on March 15, defeating the Mountain Hawks 17-10 for the first time since 2013. Later on in Patriot League play, AU went punch-for-punch with #25 Army, falling 16-13 in a back-and-forth battle.
  • Announced as the program’s 10th head coach on June 9, 2020, Teeters led the team to one of its most successful seasons in program history in 2022, culminating in a record-tying nine-win regular season and the Eagles’ first postseason appearance since 2013.
  • In the classroom, Teeters’ teams have set a new standard for academic success in the program. She’s coached three Academic All-Patriot League honorees, five College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections, and the Eagles were named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad for the third year in a row in 2025. The team also broke a program record in the same season, earning 36 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll distinctions (92% of the team).
  • A two-time All-American for Boston University from 2002-06, Teeters brings 13 years of coaching experience including seven on the Division I level with stops at James Madison (2006-09), George Washington (2009-10), and Virginia Tech (2010-13) where she was promoted to associate head coach during her final season.
  • Teeters, who was Lindsay Lewis in her BU days, still ranks fourth all-time in career goals for the Terriers. She received her bachelor’s degree in hospitality in 2006 before joining Team USA from 2007-09.

  • Primarily responsible for the team’s defense, the Eagles put up impressive numbers while protecting their goal under McTaggart’s leadership in 2025. AU finished second in the Patriot League in caused turnovers per game (9.06), the program’s highest average since the condensed 2020 season.
  • In the summer of 2024, McTaggart was named an assistant coach for the Italian Women's Lacrosse U20 Team for the 2024 Women's U20 Championship, set for August 15-24 in Hong Kong, China. Italy finished second in Pool C with three points and was considered an impressive debutant in the event with an eighth-place finish.
  • While an undergraduate at Maryland, Ang played all four years ('16-20) as a defender for the Terrapins. With the Terps, she was a BIG Ten Regular Season Champion in 2017, 2018, and 2019. • In just two seasons in Greenville, Coon helped ECU reach unprecedented team and individual success. The Pirates had a historic 2025 campaign, posting their best-ever record in American Athletic Conference (AAC) play at 4-2. They earned their first-ever win over Temple, and pushed perennial NCAA tournament contender #11 James Madison to a one-goal game in the regular season finale. Working with the Pirates' draw team, midfield, and attackers, Coon played a key role in Kayla Wilkes' outstanding season that earned her ECU's first Midfielder of the Year award. Wilkes logged a career-high 60 draw controls, a team-leading number and fifth in the AAC.
  • In 2024, Coon coached one of the most accomplished players in ECU's history in Caroline Kimel.
