NEW-School Dismissal Manager
School Dismissal Manager is NOT up and running, yet. We are working on syncing our data with the program. We are hopeful to have this ready in the next few weeks. Until then, all absences and dismissal changes need to go through the front office 317-462-4491. All dismissal changes must be made by 1:00pm.
Dress Code Update
Footwear-JBS Student Handbook Update
To ensure the safety and comfort of all students, our dress code includes specific guidelines for footwear.
Please follow these rules when selecting shoes for school:.
Footwear for School: to ensure both comfort and safety, students should wear closed toe shoes with backs that are appropriate for the student learning day. Students should not wear flip flops, slides, open back shoes, or high heels. If your child does not have safe, appropriate shoes for learning and recess play, your child may not participate in the activity or you may be asked to bring appropriate footwear. The full policy is outlined in the student handbook.
Student Tags- Dismissal
All students will have a dismissal tag placed on their backpack (new this year). This tag will be marked for how your student typically goes home. We will place these tags on backpacks the first day of school. This tag will have their Name, Teacher, Grade, and dismissal type (bus rider, car rider, daycare, or walk-up) Please leave this tag on their backpack so we can ensure your child gets home the correct way. KEEPING DISMISSAL CONSISTENT WITH MINIMAL CHANGES IS BEST!
Walk-UPS-Please read
I wanted to give families a heads up on a new transportation protocol at JB. Formally known as "Walk-up" during dismissal will look different this year. Due to the increased number of walk-ups, we need to make a few adjustments to keep our kids safe during dismissal.
- Walk-up students will be lined up INSIDE JB Stephens at dismissal (2:10pm)
- Parents/Guardians will have a tag with their student(s) names on the tag. Any adult picking up a student will need a tag. If an adult comes to pick up with no tag, they will be asked to go to the office so we can verify permissions.
- Once a JB staff member sees your tag, they will radio for your student to be dismissed and they will be walked out to meet you.
- You must bring this tag with you each time for pick-up.
I anticipate this will SLOW down the process, however, I feel it is necessary for safety purposes. Students/kids should not be running around outside during dismissal and must be walked with an adult, preferably holding the hand of an adult, out to the parking lot. Please make note of this change and how it might effect the timing of dismissal. The car rider line is typically the best option for students being picked up from school. I appreciate your understanding with this change, as we strive to keep kids safe during dismissal.
Bus Transportation Info
This school year, we have updated to the My Ride K-12 app. Bus route information and daily bus look up can be accessed through this app. Families that previously used the Ride360 app will still use the same username and password.
Previous Ride360 users:
- Download the My Ride K-12 app.
- When prompted to find your school district, search for Greenfield-Central CSC Indiana.
- Login using your Ride360 username and password.
- Add or find your student(s) by using their Student ID, Last Name, and School.
New Users:
- Download the My Ride K-12 app.
- When prompted to find your school district, search for Greenfield-Central CSC Indiana.
- Click “Register” and enter your email address.
- After registering, you will receive a confirmation email. Once completing the confirmation, you will be ready to add students to your account.
- Click My Students and select + to add a student.
- To add a student, you will need their Student ID, Last Name, and School.

- Doors Open: 7:30am
- Tardy Bell: 7:45am
- Breakfast (optional/paid): 7:30am-7:45am (if your child is eating breakfast at school, please be sure to get them to school by 7:30am, so they have plenty of time to eat)
- Dismissal: 2:10pm
Food Service
If you child is eating breakfast at school, please make sure they arrive at school by 7:30am.
NEW! Vaccine Clinic
Vaccines must be up-to-date prior to the first day of school!
Volunteer Form
If you're interested in volunteering this school year, attending field trips, etc, all volunteers must complete a Volunteer Profile application, found by clicking here, before volunteering. This form must be completed each school year. We look forward to having you at JB!
