We would like to say a huge well done to all the year 5/6 pupils who took part in the Level 2 Football Festival. All the children enjoyed competing in the tournament and displayed such courteous behaviours throughout the day.

We’d also like to congratulate the girls football team on winning the tournament and who are now through to the Level 3 competition which will take place in January!

Christmas Dates

Christmas Performances

For our reception nativity, tickets are not required (just a maximum of 4 people per family).

Tickets for our KS1 (Y1 and Y2) and KS2 (Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6) performances will be available from Monday at 6pm. Please go to www.ticketsource.co.uk/monkton-park-primary-school. Initially we ask that you just order 2 x tickets as a maximum e.g. 1 ticket for the afternoon and 1 for the evening performance. We are likely to have some flexibility however so please do speak to us. We are sure that we will be able to help with additional ticket requests once we have a better idea of numbers coming to see the performances.

Tickets for our KS1 performance are free. Unfortunately this year we do have to charge a fee of £2.80 per ticket for our KS2 performance as this helps us to cover hire of the Neeld Hall.

Christmas Lunch

If you would like your child to have a Christmas Lunch you must book in advance on School Grid by FRIDAY 1st DECEMBER . There is no charge for children in KS1 or those entitled to Free School Meals. For children in KS2 the cost will be £2.71. If you are not registered with School Grid and your child would like a school Christmas lunch please contact the school office.

FOMPS

CHRISTMAS FAIR

The Christmas Fair will be held on Friday 15th December

FOMPS would really appreciate parents’ help with the following:

Grand Raffle Prizes – Do you know of, or work for, a company that may be willing to donate a raffle prize? We have been given some wonderful donations in the past and the raffle always brings much excitement. All donors will be acknowledged in our programme and social media.

The ever popular Chocombola will be running again! As in previous years, classes will be running a competition for the one to collect the most chocolate in a week. Please send in chocolate donations with your child(ren) during the week commencing 4th December. Chocolate will be raffled on the Chocombola stall at the fair.

Nearly New Cuddly Toys – Yes, we all have them hidden away somewhere! Here’s your chance to donate them to the Nearly New Cuddly Toy Stall. Obviously don’t send in your child’s forever friend, but those that you’ve thinned out and hidden away can be donated to this stall. Please bag your teddies and bring them to the school office by Friday 8th December.

Christmas Tombola – We are running a Non-Uniform Day on Friday 1st December when we ask you to bring in a Christmas-themed prize or £1 for the Tombola stall.

Cakes / Biscuits – The café would like donations of cakes and biscuits please to be delivered to the school office on the 15th December.

Lastly, VOLUNTEERS! We have a FOMPS committee, but the Christmas Fair requires a little help from a lot of people to make it successful. All we ask is for your support for part of the evening. We will provide a rota so you know where and when your help is most needed. Please sign up on volunteersignup.org/RYQDC OR e-mail FOMPS fompspta@gmail.com

THANK YOU!
