Testimonials
"My teenaged son was completely set against doing therapy for his anxiety and depression. Then he began engaging in self-harm and doing poorly in school. When we finally got my son to agree to therapy, he insisted that we find a male therapist. That is how we found Lee Lovett. My son loves the outdoors and hated the idea of therapy "on a couch," so Lee volunteered to do "walk and talks." He and my son meet at a park and walk for their sessions. I think this style of therapy is great for teen-aged boys — it's so much easier for them to talk about difficult topics when eye contact isn't mandatory, and their nervous energy is being focused on walking. My son actually looks forward to his sessions with Lee, and his mood has improved considerably. My son says Lee is personable and easy to talk to. He knows how to keep the conversation going. When my son comes to therapy with a particular problem to address, Lee jumps right in; if my son shows up to therapy with nothing in particular to address, Lee still makes great use of their time. He has the right mix of casual conversation and pressing on problem areas. He really tries to get to know his clients, which makes conversations more productive and easier." LEAH W.
"My husband and I feel lucky that we found Lee at a moment when our son was struggling with negative emotions and making friends. Lee was able to connect with our son in a way we were not and our son has someone he can trust and receive positive guidance." LILI L.
"Lee has been a consistent referral for boys in the Landon community, and we have had much success when our boys have been able to work with him. We have also brought in Lee to help run workshops on psychoeducational work for both students and parents, and he was able to offer education around mindfulness strategies, stress management, and self-care. I would recommend Lee to anyone looking for therapeutic support, as well as schools and organizations looking for education on social emotional learning.” ADAM DIAZ, Director of Wellness, Lower and Middle School Counselor
"Lee is a thoughtful and inquisitive clinician who places an emphasis on building strong therapeutic relationships with his clients. He brings a diversity of skills & innovative approaches to his work, including Eriksonian hypnotherapy. I have trained Lee in two integrative workshops combining hypnosis & therapy training and have been impressed by his accessibility, emotional presence, and intuitive approach to therapy. I highly recommend Lee and believe that clients will value their work with him." Eric Spiegel, Ph.D. Licensed Psychologist, MD & PA Past-President, American Society of Clinical Hypnosis
"I highly recommend Lee as a skilled and compassionate therapist. With extensive experience in the field, he brings a calm and steady presence that puts clients at ease. He connects with people on a meaningful level and creates a safe and trusting environment for clients. His ability to create strong rapport ensures clients feel seen, heard, and valued. Couple with his warm sense of humor, he is a great therapist, especially for adolescents and young adults. I enjoyed my time working with Lee, and I especially admired his willingness to try new things and his curious and playful approach to life. I would definitely recommend working with him!"
