Psychology sock babies
Ms. Salimbene's AP Psychology students began their sock babies project. They made their sock babies out of corn, cotton balls, socks, and other supplies from the library. This project took them on a journey of human development from womb to tomb. They were so creative with naming their sock babies!
Chinese students designed tiles to celebrate Chinese New Year and the Year of the Dragon. This artwork is still on display throughout the building!
AP Lit research
The annual AP Lit research project began with four classes of students working their way through the research process. Students started their preliminary research and thesis development by using the databases and their own curiosity.
Ap Lang synthesis prompt project
Juniors in AP Lang began their synthesis project, where they created their own AP style synthesis question and worked on it as a research paper. They learned about how best to use our databases and how to save and cite sources in MLA format. Students and librarians collaborated to find sources for their topic and make sure everything, even the annotated bibliography, was properly formatted.
check outs
Between one snow day and the next, we were able to get most of the ELA classes in to check out books and do some book talks. Students selected their independent reading books and stocked up for some long weekends with snow days.
