Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary, employee-led groups that play a crucial role in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
These groups provide a safe space for our most marginalized and underrepresented employees to engage, support one another, and address their specific needs and interests.
Purpose and Activities
ERGs organize various activities and events tailored to support each specific group's goals and unique needs. These may include, but are not limited to, Networking opportunities, Professional development workshops, Cultural celebrations, Mentorship opportunities, and Community outreach initiatives.
Commitment to Racial Equity
All Employee Resource Groups are dedicated to upholding the JCPS' Racial Equity Policy. Each group sets specific goals that align with and support this policy, ensuring that efforts to promote racial equity are integrated into their initiatives.
Future Growth
As the organization evolves, there will be opportunities to establish additional ERGs to cater to new and emerging workforce needs. This ensures that every employee has the chance to find a supportive community within the organization.
In summary, ERGs create an inclusive and supportive workplace where employees feel valued and heard. By actively participating in and supporting these groups, we can collectively work towards a more equitable and welcoming environment for all.
