Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) & War-Related Stress
Anyone can develop PTSD at any age. This includes combat veterans as well as people who have experienced or witnessed a physical or sexual assault, abuse, an accident, a disaster, a terrorist attack, or other tragic events. People who have PTSD may feel stressed or frightened, even when they are no longer in immediate danger.
And, not everyone suffering with PTSD has been through a dangerous event. In some cases, learning that a relative or close friend experienced trauma can trigger PTSD.
According to the National Center for PTSD, a program of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, about seven or eight of every 100 people will experience PTSD in their lifetime. Women are more likely than men to develop PTSD. Certain aspects of the traumatic event and some biological factors (such as genes) may make some people more likely to develop PTSD.
What is posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)?
Logline
Alex, a reclusive, lonely war veteran must interpret his disturbing delusions in order to deal with his unsettling PTSD, which causes him to remember some disturbing secrets about his past, and jeopardizes any sort of acceptable future.
Synopsis
ALEX, alone in his 30’s, walks through the seemingly abandoned city streets constantly looking over his shoulder, afraid that he is being watched. He visits his PSYCHIATRIST to address his paranoia. The Psychiatrist asks him to describe his life in hopes of discovering the source of his virtual insanity. As they converse, the story comes alive and we see Alex’s life in all it’s struggles. He must have been happy before; he just can’t remember when. Alex is shutting himself off from the rest of the world, to drown out all the confusion, but it’s not working. The situation worsens.
The Psychiatrist recommends that Alex attempt to climb out of his shell and socialize with other people to help relieve his pain. He stops by a diner for coffee and eventually talks with the waitress, LIEZEL, she even sits with him during her break. They seem to really connect, but when Alex goes home he finds LIEZEL’s dead body in his apartment. It has to be a dream, but sleep doesn’t make her body go away. The people who are following him must be setting him up. There’s no other explanation. As other bodies begin to pile up in his apartment, Alex starts to wonder if the killer could really be him.
The twist of a terrible tragedy comes to light, as Alex finally remembers how he got to where he is now – alone, but not insane. The story unfolds in a meaningful way as we explore how Alex deals with his PTSD. In the end, the out of place pieces come together, showing the audience what could happen to any one of us, and we finally understand his personal ABSOLUTION.
Mission
Our mission is to produce a film that captivates viewers and leaves lasting impressions on their minds. There is a real need for us to talk about mental illness, and find ways to help create safe environments to discuss what scares us most. Too many are left so alone that they just can't see any light to carry on, so they just end it. We will promote Mental Fitness, and support veterans and others who are struggling with PTSD, and suicidal thoughts.
Intentions
Our goal is to raise funds for a qualified 501(c) (3) Partner at our 1 Night Only Premier Event, broadcast around the country from a notable military base, to be determined. We plan to release ABSOLUTION on 1,200 - 3,000 screens across the United States which may include a number of military installations. We want to support and make a difference in veteran's and civilian's lives, and help them find new reasons and resolve to live well.
DISTRIBUTION
From the STUDIO that brought you The SOUND of FREEDOM, and the revolutionary series, The CHOSEN.

Partnership / Fiscal Sponsorship
We are currently exploring multiple partnership possibilities with several 501(c) (3) Organizations. ABSOLUTION is designed to spark conversations, and raise awareness for real world problems. Our goal is to utilize our TV and film platform to bring PTSD, Mental Health, and Suicide Prevention to the forefront, and open channels of communication for those who are suffering, and don't believe anyone is willing to listen.
Through Fiscal Sponsorship, ABSOLUTION and a qualified 501(c) (3) can partner to make a film that will help make a difference in the lives of veterans, and anyone who is suffering from PTSD, or other mental health conditions, and in turn, as agents of the non-profit, the Producers will be able to provide new donors and fund raising opportunities for the partner 501(c) (3) Organization(s).
A Night of Forgiveness
This isn't the first time we have done something like this. For the National Release of JUST LET GO. We partnered with Desmond Tutu's Foundation, The Forgiveness Challenge, and had a Premiere Event broadcast to over 400 Theaters Nationally. Our event was hosted by Delilah, and included a down to earth conversation about forgiveness with the world's premier expert on the physiological benefits of practicing forgiveness, Dr. Fred Luskin, Stanford Professor. The night was capped off by launching a custom 7-Day forgiveness challenge issued by Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu's foundation.
Other Brand Sponsorship Examples
While the most obvious partnerships involve direct links—such as tactical gear sponsoring a veteran-themed film—some of the most successful collaborations are 'unconventional pairings' that capitalize on shared demographics. A premier example of this is our work with DJ Speedy (producer/DJ), where we facilitated and managed a strategic sponsorship with a premium wine company for his music video.
On the surface, high-energy music production and luxury viticulture may seem worlds apart. However, by identifying the overlapping lifestyle interests of their target audiences, we secured a $250,000 sponsorship agreement that integrated the brand into the video’s narrative with sophistication and authenticity.
Our team handled every detail of the partnership, ensuring the brand received premium placement that resonated with viewers, proving that with the right creative strategy, and can turn unconventional pairings into high-value cinematic successes."
