Dear Bluejay Family,

As we enter this third week of Advent, we are called to rejoice in the coming of our Savior. The rose-colored candle on our Advent wreaths represents the joy and hope that Jesus brings into our lives. May this season of anticipation and celebration fill your hearts and homes with peace and love.

Overdue Lunch Bills

We kindly remind families to check their child’s lunch account and address any overdue balances as soon as possible. Maintaining current accounts ensures that our cafeteria program continues to serve all students efficiently. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Mrs. Dorothy Trahan. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Junior High Mid-Terms

This week marks an important time for our junior high students as they prepare for their mid-term exams. These assessments are an opportunity to demonstrate their hard work and understanding from the first half of the school year. Parents, we encourage you to help your child stay organized, prioritize study time, and get plenty of rest. Your support and encouragement are invaluable during this busy time. Let us pray for focus and perseverance for all of our students!

Prayers for Our Bluejay Family

Please join us in lifting up prayers for our Bluejay family members who are experiencing challenges or hardships. We ask for God’s comfort and strength for those in need. Together, as a community of faith, we can be a source of strength and comfort for one another.

The Joy of Christmas

In the midst of the busyness of this season, let us remember the true joy of Christmas: the birth of Christ, our greatest gift. Let’s share that joy with others, being light and love in our community. Wishing you a blessed week filled with hope, joy, and faith.

Grace & Peace,

Erin B. Henry

Principal

Dear Bluejay Family,

What a week for SCS Sports! Not only did we succeed on the field and court, but we again delivered a win for the less fortunate in Acadiana. Last week's total for the Healing House was $672.00 and this week was $660.00 for Foster the Love. That gives us a total of $1332.00 donated by the Bluejays, Cougars, and Warriors. That is definitely a win for our basketball program! Thanks to our Catholic brothers and sisters from St. Pius and Fatima as we look to brighten the Christmas of those that have less than we do. Special thanks to Coach Jarett Lasseigne and Coach Cristy Savoie for their help and guidance as they delivered the gifts along with the basketball teams to the kids this week.

Our 5th, 6th, and 8th Grade Boys Basketball teams took to the road last week and played in the St. Michael's Tournament. They boys had a fun and got plenty of court time. To conclude the week on the hardcourt, our 8th Grade Boys Basketball team played in the Junior Sunkist Shootout this weekend at STM and went 1-1.

Registration will be going out next week for the remaining sports for the rest of the school year. Please be on the lookout in your inbox.
