Meet Head Coach Mia Olsen

Before joining the Pride on Alden Street, Coach Mia Olsen served as an assistant coach at the NESCAC school Amherst College. She helped the team to a NESCAC Quarterfinal berth and coached an All-American and several All-Region and All-Conference student-athletes. The Mammoths were ranked as high as #6 in the country in her second season with the Purple. Before Amherst, Coach Olsen served two years as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Westfield State. In her first year with the Owls, the team advanced to the LEC Championships. Coach Olsen is a graduate of Trinity College, where she was a 3 year starter in the midfield. She led the team in assists and helped lead the team to the NCAA Sweet 16 in her senior year. In her head coaching debut at Springfield College, she led the Pride to a 9-10 record, with 5 NEWMAC Conference shutouts, the most since 2008, and advanced to the Quarterfinals of the NEWMAC Championship Tournament. In the 2023 season, the Pride finished with a 10-10 record and advanced to the Semifinals of the NEWMAC Championship, the most wins and farthest Conference tournament appearance since 2019. The 2024 season saw some of the closest game margins in several years, and the 2025 season saw a record of 13-7, the most wins since 2018, the least amount of goals allowed since 2007, three NEWMAC All-Conference players, an All Region Player, and the NEWMAC Rookie of the Year.
