NEW THIS MONTH

New Movie Streaming Database!

Teachers can now curate a list of movies/films for students to stream in order to supplement curricular units, using the database Swank.

For example, students might study animation, psychology, symbolism, and storytelling by viewing this movie. Try it!

Students: Log in with your @seq address to view!

The Media Center will be closed at Lunch on Oct. 16 for this special event.
All K-12 students now have access to the Atlantic digital edition, and continued access to the NY Times. Students, activate your NYT academic pass for the duration of your high school career: Teachers, renew yours each year.

How many books does Sequoia ban?

Many school across the nation are left with empty shelves due to the censorship of ideas and the fear-based decisions to ban hard conversations. Come by to see which of your favorite titles are banned elsewhere. Sequoia does NOT ban books--we celebrate them!

The freshman AVID classes competed to see who knows more about the Media Center.

The freshmen AVID classes battled each other in Media Center Bingo. While Ms. Chin's class defeated Ms. Kendall, they're all winning now that they know how to leverage the resources in the Media Center!

Have Ms. Snow set up your Adobe Express Classroom!

This month, Digital Photography teacher Ms. Y had students create magazine layouts using the classroom feature in Adobe Express. Teachers, email Ms. Snow to have her set up your classroom with ready-to-use activities.
