Pops Concert 2024 May 7-8

Varsity Voices performs a Bruno Mars Hitmaker, a mashup of his most popular songs. This performance is different than the group's usual vibe because it features more upbeat aspects instead of a normal slow ballad. Senior Lilly Niedzielski performs her solo "Watch" by Billie Eilish. Her father John Niedzielski accompanied her on the guitar. This was an emotional moment for Niedzielski as it was one of her last performances as a Northview choir member.

Seniors Jackson Kay, Thompson, Perry, Ryan Keasey, Josh Bauer, Chandler Young, and Shane Ptach perform "Forever Country." This song brought out the comedic side of the performers.
The sopranos and altos of Varsity Voices perform "Bellas Finals," an iconic mashup of popular pop songs from the film Pitch Perfect. Right: Junior Avery Lowe and senior Luci Damuth embrace after performing a moving ballad "Slipping Through My Fingers" by ABBA. This was an incredibly emotional performance, as after this school year, the two are going their separate ways.

Sophomore Ethan Wells and senior L Hall showcase their musical talents on the drums and bass. Members of the Northview jazz band accompanied the singers throughout the concert.

Freshman Gavin Bey performs his eccentric solo "The Dominoes." Bey was giving this performance his all, showing the audience all of his energy as he walked around the stage.
Sophomore Kendra Dame, Shaw, and Morter sing "Breakeven" by The Script. The trio captured the hearts of the audience through their harmonizing and emotional lyrics.
Concert Choir performs Bruno Mars' hit song "Uptown Funk." With all of the dancing and having fun, the entire room was filled with spirit.

Cosby sings her solo "Hero" by Mariah Carey. Cosby is an integral member of the Northview Choir Department. She left her mark on the program with this final performance.

Bella Voce performs the hit anthem of girlhood, "What Was I Made For?" by Billie Eilish. The power of female voices together made this performance incredibly moving. Venno, Hoover and Pfaff passionately perform a cover of the hit "Forget You" by CeeLo Green. Hoover was electric as the lead performer.

Phillipson accompanies a performance on guitar. Throughout the night, Phillipson supported students by playing instruments, dancing with them, and even a center stage backflip.

From The Top, Northview's a capella group, performs a melody of "You Are The Magic." This song was fascinating because of the group's ability to create instrumental-sounding music with just their voices. Left to right: FreshmanMiana Rodriguez, Shaw, and Venno sing as a trio.

Denyes sings a solo during From The Top's mashup of "Save The World" and "Don't You Worry Child." This is Denyes' first year in the group.
At the end of the night, the seniors lined up at the front of the stage to be recognized for their musical accomplishments across their four years.
