Welcome
Who do we help? The Learning Skills Centre is available for Certificate, Diploma and Higher Education students who need some extra one-on-one help with their course. You can use the service, no matter what campus you are enrolled at or what mode of study you have selected, such as online.
How can we help? At The Learning Skills Centre, there’s always someone ready to help you. Learning Skills teachers can provide help across a broad range of topics, from reading and spelling to math, and research to referencing. We can also work with you to create an individual learning plan to provide targeted support. We can help you with online learning including technology related questions like "How do I use Zoom?" or "How do I use Connect?".
How to get in touch with us? Learning Skills Centre support is also offered through:
- Face-to-face on campus - Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm at South Bank (check our timetable below for details and other locations).

Studiosity
Need more help? Need help after hours or when the Learning Skills Centre is closed. You have 24/7 free access to a network of expert tutors, online, to help you when you’re studying and get stuck. It’s called Studiosity, and it’s your study lifeline. As soon as you need it, you can log in and be connected live via online chat. Or, if you need help with an essay or report, upload a draft to the Writing Feedback Service and get detailed feedback within 24 hours. Find out more about Studiosity.
Studiosity provides study help for academic literacy skills and core subject support. Subject specialists are available online to help you with your questions.
To access Studiosity for free as a TAFE Queensland student, you must be logged in to Connect. Simply select the unit you’re studying and the link to Studiosity can be found under the Calendar widget on the right side.
If you are experiencing difficulties with your studies, you should contact your teacher or Student Support Services in regard to options that may be available to assist you. We want you to be successful and are here to help.
