Liberia is located on the west coast of the continent of Africa. Monrovia, the capital, is located on the Atlantic Ocean. It is a resilient country that has interesting historical, cultural and landmarks to explore.
Why an Expedition to Liberia?
Experience. Young Life has been reaching kids in Liberia since 2003 and now has 39 staff members and over 190 ministries. Spend time with leaders and join them in meeting kids, having Club and participating in other ministry opportunities.
Engage. Groups will be hosted by local staff & leaders. Personally see leaders engaging with kids and witness how they show up in a teenager's life. Draw closer to God and each other as you build relationships.
Explore. Your Expedition will include some special adventures so we can explore the beautiful country and rich history of Liberia.
On your Expedition, you will:
- Stay in Monrovia, Liberia at a safe and secure guest house
- Visit local ministry including Club and Campaigner meetings
- Serve as Work Crew alongside volunteer leaders at an outreach camp
- Learn about the history and culture of Liberia from local YL staff
- Visit the homes of local leaders and hear their stories
Cost: $1600* + Airfare
Participants to book their own airfare. Trip leader will give arrival and departure parameters.
Included: Eight days with ground transportation, meals, lodging, and activities included. *Cost is a per person estimate, subject to change until time deposit is made.
Not included: Airfare, visas, vaccinations or other passport related fees.
