St. John the Evangelist: Sacrament Info Fall 2026

Please see the following information from St. John the Evangelist Parish: If your child will be in grades 2 – 5 in the fall, they are invited to pre-register for Reconciliation and Eucharist (Communion). If your child will be in grade 6 or higher in the fall, they are invited to pre-register for Confirmation.

We will include preparation for Reconciliation and Eucharist if your older child missed these sacraments – it is never too late! Call or email the Parish soon! 780-452-3988 sje@caedm.ca

A Message for Mother's Day

As we approach Mother's Day on Sunday, we would like to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the many people in our community who nurture, guide, and care for children each day. We acknowledge that families are diverse, and the role of caregiving is carried out in many ways. Whether you are a mother, grandmother, aunt, guardian, foster parent, or another important figure, your care, support, and love make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students. Thank you for the many ways you contribute to the well-being and growth of our students. We are grateful for the partnership we share with you. Wishing you a peaceful and meaningful weekend.

School Council Corner

Please see the following communication from your SAC Executive: We can hardly believe we are already heading into the final stretch of the school year! A huge thank you to everyone who has already contributed toward our Staff Appreciation initiatives. We are still looking for Staff Appreciation donations as we prepare to recognize and celebrate the incredible staff who support our children every day. If you would like to contribute, please send your donation to stpaulyeg@hotmail.com and include your child(ren)’s name in the message. We would also like to extend a big thank you to our wonderful DanceEd Residency team for an engaging and creative week at the school. Students had an amazing opportunity to explore movement, expression, and creativity through a variety of dance experiences. It was fantastic to see students building confidence, trying new things, and having fun while learning through the arts. Finally, please mark your calendars for our next — and final — School Advisory Council (SAC) meeting of the year on May 20 at 6:30 p.m. We would love to see you there as we wrap up another great year together!

Staff Parking Lot

A reminder that the staff parking lot is not to be used for student pick ups or drop offs. There are staff vehicles, as well as Division vehicles coming in and out of the lot, making it very unsafe for students. Please choose safety or convenience and drop students off in designated drop off areas: 96 Ave in front of the school or 145 Street to the west of the school. Thank you for your support with this!
