welcome!
hey y'all! welcome to my advanced digital photography site, here, you will find my work from all of our projects and shoots! enjoy!
about my camera:
- i use a Nikon D3300 (click for more info!) - i use a rechargeable lithium battery
gtk (get to know) project:
in this project, when had to get to know the different modes on our cameras and ways to shoot in different environments. to the left, you will see my gtk collage. below you will see my 10x10x10 collage and my top shot. my favorite part of this project was having different requirements for each shot so we didn't just take a photo of the same things.
ai project:
in this project we used past shots and shots we captured just for this project and used ai to edit and make changes on them. attacted, you will see my cabin on the mountains photo, my photo about a dream of mine, two shots of pictures of people, an AI only photo, and a character AI shot.
wip (words in pictures) project:
in this project, we went around the school and found different objects that looked like certain letters. out of the photos, we made collages to spell out 2 words of our choice. below you will see the two collages with the shots I took. i liked this project because we had to be creative and original with our shots. we had to find things that naturally looked like each letter.
pictorialist project:
In this project, we used existing shots and applied various effects and filters to transform them into paintings and images. my favorite picture was the collage because of the filters used and the different text. below you can see my 5 objects photo, where we picked five objects in a photo and used different filters on them, my filter collage, and a photo of me that i turned into a painting. i enjoyed this project because I learned how to use different effects on my photos.
elements of art project:
for the eoa (element of art) project, we captured many different photos that highlight the seven elements of art, shape, form, line, space, color, value, and texture. below is a large collage that includes all elements of art, along with my top shot from each element. (left: color top shot)
composition technique project
for this project, we had to capture two photos for each composition technique, repetition, reflection, worms and birds eye view, leading lines, framing, motion, forced perspective, shadows, rule of thirds. below are my top shots from each category and 3 composition photos using 5 images in each. my favorite part of this project was getting to combine the photos i took into cool compositions.
top shots from each composition technique:
ps paint project
in this project, we were required to take one image recreating an old painting, such as the Mona Lisa. we also learned how to use Photoshop to create custom brushes. with these custom brushes, we painted a picture on Photoshop using them. another thing we had to do was find a google or a personal image and paint over it. another part of our project was to use the art history bush and our custom brushes to edit over a previously taken image. lastly, we had to incorporate a personal image into an old painting or vice-versa. my favorite part of this project was completing the painting. i enjoyed this because i liked getting to learn how to blend and trace things onto a layer and how to incorporate our custom brushes into the painting.
multiple exposure
this project included taking one shot for four different categories: levitation, multiplicity, custom combine, and double exposure. we were allowed to shoot at home and at school. we were encouraged to shoot in different places to be creative with each of our ideas. below you will see each of my images for each part of my project.
Portrait Project:
this project required us to edit different images and make portraits. we had to make an in-direct self portrait which was made of objects that represent us. we also had to make a flashback portrait where we used an younger picture of us and incorporated the current version of us into it. next we made a composite portrait made of different physical features of a person. then we used two photos of people who look similar to create a split portrait. we did blended faces where we combined different peoples facial features into one realistic photo. for the ai backdrop portrait, we create an imaginary background made by ai and took a photo to add into it. lastly, we created a stylized portrait by attempted to match the characteristics a photo of someone to a cartoon character.
