Athletic Fields
At Trinity, our game fields are all conveniently located near each other in the center of campus. We are also lucky to be one of the few DIII schools that has a natural grass field with lights. Newest Addition to Trinity Athletics: Scully Center
In Summer 2025, Trinity opened the Scully Center- an addition to the Ferris Athletic Center which provides new wellness opportunities for the entire community. The Scully Center includes an open-air terrace overlooking the athletic fields, office spaces, multi-purpose rooms for team meetings and recreation, and a brand-new fitness center including a weight room, cardio room, MPR, spin room, and basketball court. Trinity now offers a variety of wellness classes in these new spaces as well. Check out some pictures of the Scully Center below:
Our Conference
Trinity College is one of eleven schools in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). While all schools in the conference are known for their high academic standards, the NESCAC is also considered one of the best athletic conferences in DIII.
- In 2019, 2021, and 2023, NESCAC teams have appeared in the DIII NCAA Women's Soccer Final Four.
- In 2019, the runner-up and champion of the DIII NCAA tournament both came from our conference.
- There were FIVE United Soccer Coaches DIII Women's Soccer All-Americans from the NESCAC in 2023.
- Over the past 5 years, an average of 5 teams from our conference have made the NCAA tournament!

This season we had 29 players on our roster from 12 different states (CT, MA, MD, CO, ME, NJ, NJ, NC, CA, OH, TX, WI) and two different countries (USA & Malaysia)!

- Finished tied for 3rd in regular season in 2022 & tied for 4th in 2023
- NCAA Tournament appearances in 2013, 2016, & 2022
- Received an at-large bid for the NCAA tournament and hosted for the first time in Trinity Women's Soccer history in 2022
- Finished the 2022 season ranked #22 in DIII
- Conference Rookie of the Year in 2022
- Two CSC Division III Academic All-District players in 2022
- Three ALL-NESCAC First Team players in 2023

ANNUAL CALENDAR
FALL SEASON (Late August to November)
- Team practice 4-5 times per week typically from 4:30-6:30pm (when there are no classes being held)
- 1-2 games per week on either the weekend OR midweek (if the opponent is nearby)
- Team recovery/maintenance lifts 1-2 times a week for 30 minutes after practice
VOLUNTARY WINTER OFF-SEASON (December to March)
- Voluntary lifting 2-3 times a week with our full-time Strength & Conditioning Team
- Voluntary "Speed School" once a week for 6 weeks in the late-winter with our Strength & Conditioning Team
- Voluntary pick up soccer & technical work
- The coaches provide recommendations for voluntary conditioning workouts to do throughout the winter as well!
In Summer 2025, Trinity opened a new, expanded Varsity Weight Room which included additional racks, new equipment, and a turf strip.
SPRING DEVELOPMENT SEGMENT (March to April)
Recently, the NESCAC launched a trial-run of spring development period where coaches are allowed to hold 10 practices as well as up to 5 team off-the-field events ( at least one of which must be community service). Players also continue to lift twice a week (voluntary).
This past spring our off-the-field team events included a mental health workshop, team bonding with other fall teams, teaching soccer at the Hartford Boys & Girls Club, and a hike at the West Hartford Reservoir.
SUMMER SELF-IMPROVEMENT (May to August)
Many of our players join summer teams, as well as continue to lift, condition, and do technical work from resources given to them by coaches and the Strength & Conditioning Team.

TRINITY COLLEGE WOMEN'S SOCCER STUDY AWAY
Most of our juniors take advantage of Trinity College's study away program with players most recently spending a semesters abroad in Spain, the Netherlands, and South Africa.
"Going abroad was one of the most enriching experiences of college. I was able to learn about so many new cultures throughout Europe and become immersed in Spanish and Catalan culture. my favorite memories were running a half-marathon in Nice, France and traveling to Amsterdam with my friends."

Trinity College Women's Soccer: International Trip to Italy & England 2025
This past spring, Trinity College men's and women's soccer traveled to Italy and England for 10 days to train, compete, and tour. The NCAA and the NESCAC allow collegiate teams the opportunity to compete overseas every four years if they choose. This is something we hope to do again in the future!
Notable Alumni
Trinity has a number of accomplished alumni in every field. The three highlighted above include Jess Sims '10, Bridget Mary McCormack '88, and Kristine Belson '86. Jess Sims is a well-known Peloton instructor who was also a member of the Trinity College Women's Basketball team while a student at Trinity. Bridget Mary McCormack is the recently elected (January 2019!) Chief Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court. She is also the founder of the Michigan Innocence Clinic, the nation's first exclusively non-DNA innocence clinic. Finally, Kristine Belson is the president of Sony Pictures Animation.

It is home to approximately 125,000 people and is known for having the nation's oldest public art museum (Wadsworth Atheneum) and publicly funded park (Bushnell Park).
