Quarterback waiver wire pickup:
Kyler Murray
Kyler Murray is supposed to return this week against the Cowboys. The Cowboys defense allows the most fantasy points to a QB this year, and they allow the second most rushing yards to Quarterbacks this year, and Murray averages 34 rushing yards per game and 6 yards a carry. Dallas also allows the most touchdowns to Quarterbacks this year and touchdowns are game changers in fantasy. Trey McBride is the #3 fantasy Tight End this year, and so far Kyler’s best two games were week 1 and week 4. Those two weeks are the only weeks where Trey McBride had over 95 snap percentage. The Cardinals are nearly out of the playoffs and if they want to stay alive, then they will need to keep McBride in the game. Kyler has such an easy matchup and all the reasons to have a top 10 QB performance. If you are QB needy this is the guy you need.
Running back Waiver Wire Pickup:
Tyjae Spears
Tyjae Spears is a guy you need to pickup right this second, before anything happens. Tony Pollard averages more carries than Tyjae, but in the last 3 games Tyjae has 51 snap percentage, and Tony Pollard averages 48 snap percentage. You need to pick up Tyjae before he gets more carries than Pollard. The Chargers may be the 13th best fantasy defense to running backs, but they allow the 6th most rushing touchdowns in the league. This is great for Tyjae who had 4 redzone snaps (which is 3 more than Pollard had) and Tyjae averages 2 more redzone snaps per game in the last 3 games. That means Spears is more likely to score a touchdown which the Chargers allow a lot. You should be picking up Spears before he has another awesome game.
Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickup: Jayden Higgins
Nico Collins is likely returning this week but he will be more than likely on a snap count. Christian Kirk is also out so who will step up? In my opinion it is Jayden Higgins. Last week was Nico Collins 1st game out and Jayden Higgins had an 83 snap percentage which is 12 higher than Xavier Hutchinson, and 44 more than Jaylin Noel. He also had 8 targets and that is 2 more than Noel, and 2 more than Xavier Hutchinson. Jayden Higgins is definitely the guy to step up of the 3. The Broncos may be the #1 fantasy defense vs WRs’s, but Pat Surtain is now out, and Riley Moss will most likely guard Nico Collin’s. Jayden Higgins will have a great matchup against most likely Kris-Abrams-Jaine. Janie has barely had enough playing time this year, so there isn’t much to say except I assume this will be a good matchup for Higgins. Everything is lined up great for Higgins right now.
Tight End Waiver Wire Pickup: Colston Loveland
If you have a need for a tight end right now, then this is your guy. Cole Kmet may not play this week, but if he doesn’t then he will definitely be on a snap count as we saw the past 3 weeks. Last week Loveland had his best game, and played the most snaps of his career, and most targets. This week he has such a great matchup against a Bengals defense that allows the most tight end points. He had a great game against the Ravens who are 19th best, which isn’t good but it’s a lot better than the Bengals. Loveland looks like if Kmet is out he may as well could start for you. If Kmet plays I would choose otherwise and keep him as a backup, but we will see.
