The future always brings a great mystery with it! What will happen in a hundred years from now? What about 200? and 300? Will we thrive? Will there be civilizations left? Well, it's time for you to answer all of this questions with the brand new Creative Challenge: Future Cities!
For this challenge, we had a special guest jury! Japanese influencer Yuto Yamada selected the winner and shared his feedback! Go check some of his work right here https://www.instagram.com/tokio_kid/
Keywords: Sustainable, Megacity, Vertical, Artificial, Linear. I wouldn't use "vertical" as a keyword, since customers have a filter to select the image orientation (landscape or horizontal, or portrait or vertical). Artificial and linear are also not good choices. But something like "future", "cyberpunk", "neon" could be a better fit.
It’s simple to understand the concept. It looks sci-fi, but still believable. It has a story of how we would be living in a future like this. It’s also because of the point of view shot. I like the color pattern and the composition. The reflection on the ground and the tower in the center enhance the height of the buildings. Cyberpunk is a gaming trend that’s still going strong and this image would be sold pretty quickly.
Keywords: Survival, Ingenuity, Desert, City, Sand. We only took the top five keywords for the challenge 😉. I would have put "survival" and "ingenuity" a bit later on the list, and added concepts such as ecology, sustainability, or similar.
The architecture is simply beautiful. And the oasis in front creates a Dubai feeling. It’s very cool to see a future of deserts. I would like to see more sky.
Keywords: desert, nouveau, sustainable, walkable, harmony. I would have used "science-fiction", "city", or "futuristic", instead of nouveau (I'm guessing for Art Nouveau, which is tangentially related) or even walkable, since with this scale it is not something so relevant.
This image is really original. Great color and the lighting. But I’m not sure if it’s useful as a stock, since the story is missing.
Keywords: Futuristic, City, Eco, Friendly, Sustainable. I like the use of keywords related to eco-sustainability, although I wouldn't advise using so many synonyms on the top ten. "Friendly" shouldn't be there, though.
My second favorite was this image. It checks all the checkboxes, the composition, the color, and the marketing value. It’s easy to picture our future, which would be well-advanced in technology but also bright and peaceful.
Keywords: futuristic, city, tree, concrete, nature. Good use of keywords!
I would like to see more people, and how they live in these complex apartments. It lacks real-life experience.
Keywords: cityscape, sustainable, natural, spaces, community. I like the inclusion of "community", since we see groups of people interacting in your city. The rest of the keywords are good too!
I like that it’s rich in nature and the buildings are made from wood. It tells the possibility of the coexistence with the forest and the future not only the development of technology. The waterfalls create some movements.
Keywords: Futuristic, city, innovation, architecture, technology. Good keywords. I would also have included something related to sustainability, since there are so many trees on your city.
I like that there are greens and water. It’s bright. It also shows our future with coexistence with the nature. The square format is not ideal for stock.
Keywords: Green, Future, Sostainable, Nature, Coexisting with nature. Always double-check your spelling! It is "sustainable" 😉. Also, a long sentence such as "coexisting with nature" is not a good keyword, because it won't show up unless a customer writes precisely that, and only in English (it won't be translated to other languages). Apart from that, good keywords.
The concept and the aesthetics are very good, but it’s a pity that it is a square format, since usability for customers is reduced.
Keywords: Teleportation, Futuristic, Innovation, Intercontinental, Urban. Maybe "intercontinental", even though it works as a concept, is not a good fit for this image. The rest of the keywords are OK.
I love the idea of door-to-door travel in the future, but the quality needs improvement.
Keywords: Underwater, Mermaid, Future, Habitat, Aquasphere. I wouldn't use "Aquasphere" as a keyword, much less on the top ten. The other keywords are ok.
I like the concept of living in water with robotic creatures. However, especially if it’s underwater, I’d love to see more of the fictional world of this image horizontally. It differentiates from other images, but leaves many questions. Why is the mermaid wearing a VR or an oxygen mask? What’s the black cable hanging from above? I don’t quite understand what’s going on.
