Congratulations to Maliah, Magi, Eloise, Alexa, Lucy and Logan for completing a level on Lexia.

Halloween Disco

Thank you to all who supported the school and came to the disco. It raised £150 for school and £57 for After School Club.

Tavern Caravan Park, Forden have held a number of quiz nights and fundraisers since April and raised a fantastic £500 for school. Thank you.

Children in Need - sponsored run

All pupils will be taking part in a sponsored run on Friday 15th November to raise funds for Children in Need. Pupils can come to school dressed in spots for this event.

There is a sponsor form in their bookbag today - please help them to collect sponsors. Details of how funds can be paid will be sent out after half term.

Wellies

We are very short of wellies for older children in school. If you have any unwanted pairs - size 4 and bigger - we would appreciate any donations. Diolch

Football & Netball tournaments

Congratulations to the teams in both tournaments - they played really well and thoroughly enjoyed the morning. The football team came 3rd in their tournament and the netball team came 2nd - llongyfarchiadau pawb.

We have a large amount of second hand school uniform in the school library. Parents are welcome to come in any Wednesday after school to browse/collect.

Even though primary school meals are free to all pupils, if you register for Free School Meals you can help your school benefit from funding because you have registered.

Registering for Free School Meals might also qualify you for other help and assistance, including school uniform clothing grants

Who can register for Free School Meals?

To get free meals in Powys schools, the parents/carers must get one of the following:

  • Income Support
  • Job Seekers Allowance (Income Based)
  • If you are an Asylum Seeker getting support under the Immigration and Asylum Act.
  • State Pension Guaranteed Credit
  • Employment and Support Allowance - Income based
  • Child Tax Credit - as long as you are not getting an amount for childcare paid with your CTC, or getting Working Tax Credit. HM Revenue & Customs must also have worked out your household income as £16,190 a year or less.
  • Universal Credit - as long as your annual net earnings are £7400 or less
