HOLIDAY WORKS AND MAINTENANCE As we stated in previous newsletters, there will be lots happening over the vacation break. Projects include the painting of the Foundation classrooms, completion of asphalting, concreting and kerbing around the ‘new’ Tiger Turf, scheduled maintenance of both Tiger Turf surfaces, soft fall being added to all playgrounds, the termly gardens and grounds maintenance crew in attendance and term break cleaning. With the holiday program still operational it will be a hive of activity. Nonetheless, if you see anything that looks suspicious around the school during the holidays (especially outside ‘work’ hours), please don’t hesitate to contact the police.

FINAL ASSEMBLY AND DISMISSAL The final assembly for the term will commence at 2.05pm on Friday. Featured will be Mr Cai’s strings ensemble performing for your listening pleasure. Students will dismiss from assembly at 2.30pm, with the first day of Term 3 being Monday, July 21. A further reminder that this is a PUPIL-FREE DAY to enable the 3-way conferences to take place. The first ‘normal’ school day will be Tuesday, July 22.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS It has been a busy first semester, and as we head towards the holiday break we slow down a little and look forward to sleep-ins, movie visits, trips away, walks, perhaps a bit of Netflix ‘bingeing’ and the swinging of golf clubs!! I hope everyone has a restful break, and suitably recharges for the remainder of the year. Thank you as always for your support and commitment to our school. It remains a great place to learn, work and ‘belong’ to !!

Kind regards,

Bill Kersing

Term 2 has certainly been busy and once again, we have been able to celebrate many highlights and achievements. As well as all the class learning that has taken place each day across the term, students have been involved in a range of extra-curricular activities such as sporting events, the Year 4 camp, excursions and incursions, a chess tournament, instrumental music lessons and the SAKG program. We will celebrate the end of term with a PJ day to acknowledge the SWPBS small school reward that has been earned by all our students. Congratulations!

Term 3 will be just as busy, starting with 3 Way Conferences on Monday 21st July and later in the term, swimming lessons for F-2, for five consecutive Thursdays, from 21 August. The F-2 cross country has been organised for Wednesday 27th August and we begin our Foundation 2026 transition program. The term will conclude with our Year 6 ‘city experience’ camp.

The Smile Squad dental van will also return for the first week of term 3 to finalise dental treatments.

I hope everyone is able to squeeze in some time to rest and recharge during the school holidays. It seems like the perfect time to cozy up and enjoy those holiday sleep-ins.

I’d like to wish everyone a safe and relaxing holiday and look forward to seeing you again in Term 3.
