the problem
Food trucks have provided fun experiences and community involvement since they were first invented in 1866. Food trucks have a unique eating experience that is different from the norm of regular restaurant dining. While their presence is scattered on Long Island, they are a rare sight to see in a lot of communities. They are so beloved, but they are limited or not known about on Long Island. This project will delve into solving the lack of attention on food truck culture on Long Island.
the product
The Long Island Food Truck Festival or L.I.F.T. for short, is a festival that will host food trucks of local businesses and entrepreneurs to help get their names out there in the community. Since this festival will be a networking event for these food truck owners/businesses, it will also play into boosting the local economy and providing a strong community presence amongst the communities that get involved with this festival.
thesis statement
There has been a lack of attention on food truck culture on Long Island in recent media and is only lacking more and more. With the help of the Long Island Food Truck Festival (L.I.F.T.), we will be able to highlight these businesses and entrepreneurs in ways that they can not do on their own. This festival will be able to help boost their customer base while also boosting the local economy and community engagement!
