John H. Bryan, Sr. & George W. Bryan, Sr. Athletic Administration Building

The crown jewel of Mississippi State's athletic expansion projects during the 1990s was the John H. Bryan Sr. Athletic Administration Building. Ground was broken for the John H. Bryan Sr. Athletic Administration Building in July of 1994 and the doors officially opened in January 1995. The building was renamed the John H. Bryan, Sr. and George W. Bryan, Sr. Athletic Administration Building in 2023.

Humphrey Coliseum housed all of MSU's athletic offices prior to the opening of Bryan, but the little space many coaches and staff were sharing paired with the addition of two new sports, soccer and softball, made the need for a new space imperative.

"An integral part of the concern for gender equity in college athletics revolves around equal facilities for men and women," MSU athletic director Larry Templeton said at the time. "The Southeastern Conference has mandated that member schools sponsor two more women's sports than they do men's. For us, that meant adding two women's sports. It was mandatory we have more room. We simply would not have been in compliance."

Today the Bryan Building houses the athletic department's administrative offices as well as the ticket office, the Bulldog Club, business offices and the marketing department.

"I feel it is critical for the management of the athletic department that we function as a unit. The Bryan Building puts our groups which deal with external relationships together." - former MSU Athletic Director Larry Templeton
