Note from Mr Higginbottom

Hello! Welcome back to the second half of the Autumn term. We hope that you have had a lovely half term. There's lots to look forward to between now and Christmas, and beyond - so I'm happy to share our plans with you now.

On Friday 17th November at 2PM, we will be holding a whole school art exhibition. We warmly invite you to come to your children's classrooms and have a look at the work they're most proud of this term. This is a lovely opportunity to catch up with the fantastic learning that has been happening. We hope you'll be able to join us.

As part of our newly developing personal development program for all children, we have changed the residential visits that we will now offer. During key stage 2, there will now be 2 residential experiences - 1 in year 4, and the other in year 6. These will happen every year - so each time a child is in year 4 they will be invited to take part, and again in year 6. The year 4 event will take place in May 2024 and the year 6 one is in June 2024. Mr Tasker and Mrs McArdle will be in touch with more details very soon. We're really excited to offer these experiences and hope that you'll want to support your child to attend.

As well as the usual Nativity in school and Christmas service at church, we will be holding a Christmas Fair. Also, children can look forward to a pantomime in school, Christmas parties and Christmas jumper day when we have our Christmas dinner. Hopefully there are lots of things for children to enjoy this term and love being at school!

Finally, we're surveying parents and staff to find out whether the way that we communicate with you is as effective as it can be, and to see if there are any issues in staff wellbeing as a result of the Dojo messaging service being constantly available. I'd be really grateful if you'd take a moment to complete our survey here. Thank you.

A round up of the week's events
Thank you to our PTA (some of whom are pictured above) for running this week's Halloween disco. It was lovely to see everyone's wonderful outfits!
Y6 children visited Crucial Crew this week. It was a great day that helped the children with some very important life skills.

Dates for your Diary
Have a lovely Weekend!

Thank you for your continued support of our school and for supporting your child by ensuring they're at school on time and they read at least 4 times each week. If you would like to discuss any aspect of your child's time in school you can email enquiries@sqp.wwpat.org, find me on ClassDojo or chat to me at the start or end of the school day.
