June 2026

Ten Ten Resources Parent Newsletter

June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, offering an opportunity to reflect on the love and mercy of Jesus Christ, shown through His death and Resurrection.

This focus connects with the themed series ‘Amazing Mysteries’, which begins this month with an exploration of two key solemnities: ‘The Most Holy Trinity’ and ‘The Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus’ (Corpus Christi). These assemblies help children to understand more about who God is and how Jesus continues to be present with us. This newsletter shares some of the content children will experience in school throughout June, and suggests ways for you to engage with them about it. We hope it is a useful resource for your family prayer time.

AMAZING MYSTERIES: THE MOST HOLY TRINITY

In the week beginning 1 June, we begin the ‘Amazing Mysteries’ series as children explore one of the important mysteries of the Church. They are introduced to the mystery of the Holy Trinity, learning that God is one God in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, united in a perfect relationship of love. In the Gospel for this week (John 3:16-18), Jesus speaks about how much God the Father loves the world and He sent His Son to Earth. Children learn that God wants us to experience His amazing love for us, through each person of the Trinity. During prayer, children spend time reflecting on different artistic representations of the Trinity to help them think more deeply about this mystery. With your child/ren, you may also like to…

  • Prayerfully make the Sign of the Cross and explain that it is a sign of our faith in who God is.

  • Look at an image of the Trinity, ask what your child notices and talk about what it means that God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • Think of ways your family can show love and care to one another each day.

FEAR NOT

In the week beginning 22 June, children are invited to understand how much God loves them. Through a series of quiz questions exploring facts about humans, children reflect on how God knows, values, and cares for each one of us. In the Gospel (Matthew 10:26–33), Jesus reminds His disciples not to be afraid, but to trust in God’s care for them. Children discover that knowing they are unique and valued can help them to trust God, even when they feel worried or uncertain. Through prayer and reflection, children consider how they can choose trust over fear when they face challenges. With your child/ren, you may also like to…

  • Talk about what it means to be valued and cared for.

  • Share any worries together and think about ways to face them with trust.

  • Reflect on times when choosing trust instead of fear has helped in a difficult situation.

MISSION POSSIBLE

During the week beginning 15 June, the daily prayers focus on responding to Jesus’ call to share God’s love. Inspired by the Gospel, children reflect on how they are invited to take part in this mission through simple, everyday actions. Across the week, children think about how small choices — such as being kind, helpful, and welcoming — allow them to share God’s love with others in their daily lives. The following prayer is one that children will pray during this week in school:

Jesus, We give you all of today. All we do and think and say. All our work and all our play. We want to do it in your way. Amen
