St Ignatius is an ethnically and socially diverse school located in SE Portland. In the tradition of Mother Marie Rose and St. Ignatius Loyola, the school has been providing a faith centered Catholic education since 1908, guiding God's children toward building a just and compassionate world.
All members of the St. Ignatius community work together to form self-confident and well-balanced individuals. At St. Ignatius, we recognize our diversity, encourage its growth and embrace its strength. Our school program nourishes students' spiritual, academic, emotional, and social growth, helping individuals to see beyond themselves by reaching out and serving others.
Aside from our weekly mass in the church, Dillon Hall is the only gathering place in which all 200 students and faculty can gather together. The hall is not only the home of our gym but also our school cafeteria and music room. Dillon Hall hosts our family groups, physical education classes, music classes, assemblies, after school programs, all CYO athletic events as well as our Christmas and Spring Concerts.
