Day 1 - Arrive nadi, fiji
Your incredible journey of discovery starts with an arrival into Fiji. In the heart of the South Pacific, Fiji is blessed with 333 tropical islands that are home to happiness. Famous for its soft coral diving, white sand beaches and pristine natural environment, Fiji is the perfect destination for a holiday in paradise.
Upon arrival, proceed through customs and immigration before making your way to the arrivals hall to meet your driver for a group transfer to your accommodation.

Day 2 -NADI / BOARD CRUISE
After a leisurely start to your day, board your cruise for the next 7-nights, MS Caledonian Sky. Your 7-night cruise of the North islands in Fiji allows you to explore the most remote and beautiful parts of Fiji.
This afternoon your first stop is Tivua Island, where you can enjoy a twilight swim, snorkel or relax on the beach, followed by a wonderful welcome dinner as you cruise into a south pacific sunset.

MS CALEDONIAN SKY
The MS Caledonian Sky is a small ship whose small size allows us to negotiate remote islands, reefs and shallow bays where bigger ships are unable to go, showcasing the real Fiji and giving our passengers a true cultural experience. Day 3 - NORTHERN ISLANDS - Makogai Island
Experience a traditional Fijian ceremony at Makogai Island this morning. Each village has unique traditions and variations that welcomes you into the village.
Makogai is best known for once being a leper colony and the ruins of the old leper station remain as a reminder of those desperate days. Walk with your guide through the old colony which has been closed since mid-last century.
Snorkel over giant clam gardens in this turtle sanctuary before enjoying a traditional song and dance by the Makogai Church.

Day 4 - NORTHERN ISLANDS - Port of Levuka on the Island Ovalau
This morning we arrive at the port of Levuka on the Island Ovalau, situated off the northeast coast of the main Island. Levuka was the first European settlement in Fiji and became the centre of the British colonial administration and trade. Levuka attractions revolve its architecture, which makes it an outstanding example of a late 19th century Pacific port Settlement. You will be invited to join an optional tour of this now quiet historic town.
This afternoon you will have the option of snorkeling and a shipwreck tour or enjoy at your own leisure exploring the town.

Day 5 - NORTHERN ISLANDS - Savusavu
This morning we arrive at Savusavu, sitting on a calm and lovely bay surrounded by soaring mountains and canopies of trees, this is the second largest town on the second biggest island in Fiji, Vanua Levu.
Savusavu is positioned on an extinct volcanic crater, forming the best natural harbor in Hot-Springs with steam rising along the shoreline. Enjoy your morning exploring the town and its Hot-Springs or visit the world-famous Justin Hunter pearl farm.
This afternoon we visit Whispering Tide, a beautiful crescent of remote beach for swimming and snorkelling with our onboard Marine Biologist.

Day 6 - NORTHERN ISLANDS - Taveuni Island – the ‘Garden Island’ of Fiji
Disembark this morning on the western side of Taveuni Island – the ‘Garden Island’ of Fiji. The optional bus tour takes you to the beautiful Tavoro Waterfall in the Bouma National Park where you can swim and relax in the stunning setting, or take a challenging hike to the 2nd and 3rd falls.
After a picnic lunch at the National Park, return to the ship or have the opportunity to stand on the 180th Meridian, the arbitrary line between today and tomorrow. Take a guided tour to the famous natural Dateline where you can literally stand with one foot in the past and one foot in the future.
This evening visit Naselesele Village to enjoy the tastes of Fiji with a traditional ‘lovo’ (earth oven) feast where we share fresh local seafood, meat and succulent tropical fruits. Then dance to the drum of the meke (dance) and experience a kava ceremony.

Day 7 - NORTHERN ISLANDS - Kioa Islands
Kioa Islands are freehold islands populated by South Sea Islanders. In 2005 Fiji granted them full citizenship. Kioa Island was settled by the people of Tuvalu Island (also called Ellice Island) after they were displaced by rising sea levels. Be met by these colourful people in their traditional way and see their vibrant cultural presentation. Cruise along the south coast of Vanua Levu over lunch to the afternoon anchorage of Viani Bay for stunning snorkelling and relaxing on the beach.
This evening there will be a white theme, so join in by dressing in white for an amazing atmosphere, plus don’t forget to pack your dancing shoes for the famous Captain Cook Cruises Music Quiz.

Day 8 - NORTHERN ISLANDS - Nananu-i-ra
Cruising southwest from Vanua Levu, arriving at Nananu-i-ra on the northern coast of Viti Levu enjoy a customary swim, snorkel and beachcombing or just a lazy morning to enjoy the beach visit. This is a pocket-sized paradise surrounded by scalloped bays, white-sand beaches and mangroves. There may also be an opportunity to hike the hill.
After lunch there is your last opportunity ashore before we begin our homeward journey. Don your favourite island attire and join all the celebrations of our Pacific Island Night Finale.
