Tanner Scholten Master's in Fisheries & Natural Resources | Photographer

Through my master's thesis research, I studied an improved technique for sampling fish in mangrove habitats.

I tested centipede nets in the Gulf of Nicoya, Costa Rica, but they appear promising for use in mangroves around the world.

I completed my master's in July, and now I hope to use my technical skills, academic training, and strong work ethic to improve our understanding and management of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
Prior to starting my master's program, I earned bachelor's degrees in Biology and Spanish. I have also worked as a professional photographer for years.
I always enjoy merging my interests and capturing compelling images of the beautiful places and interesting people that I encounter.

I've put together a gallery of photos from my time in Costa Rica here.

Please get in touch if you are interested in my research or photography, or if you have any job opportunities that might be relevant to my experience.

I'd love to connect!
