Complete your planning, research and practice in the zine provided at the end of the school year. Missing your zine? Make another with 18x24 paper https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMdus-lNqFg
You will submit your zine sketchbook and artwork the first week of school for critique and first exhibition!
OPTION 1: Sustained Investigation
Create an artwork that connects to your current Sustained Investigation Inquiry and demonstrates mastery of a specific skill/material/process. You must document your practice, process and resources that you used to create this piece. If you want to change your Inquiry, you can!
Option 2: Selected Works
Create an artwork that demonstrates skillful synthesis (integration) of materials, processes, and ideas. Create an original artwork that showcases your best skills and thinking. You must document your practice, process and resources that you used to create this piece.
Follow the Studio Cycle to complete your work and DOCUMENT everything! Step 1: Explore- Research artists, inquiry questions, mind map Step 2: Design- Plan your artwork, sketch multiple ideas Step 3: Develop Craft- self-identify a skill that you need to work on and spend time researching, practicing and applying the skill Step 4: Create an artwork that could go in your future portfolio!
