Get to know OShauN
EverythingOShauN was born to immigrant parents of Nigerian and Jamaican descent, widely regarded as two of the most influential nations of the world. With Bob Marley and Fela Kuti being the music forefathers along with the influence of the Toronto sound, EverythingOShauN naturally brings a blend of melodic, bold and carefully thought out soundtracks. These sounds are pulled from his determination, his aspirations and deep reflection with the help of producer and brother, Xpress aka DJXP.
EverythingOShauN's music has found its way into the Toronto Raptors NBA Championship games as well as top radio stations in Toronto, Nigeria and worldwide. Amazingly, EverythingOShauN, recording artist and professional actor has been able to blend both of his creative worlds by not only acting in various commercials, short films and TV series, but he has also landed his original music in Doordash official documentary, ‘Soul of the City’, TIFF film - ‘Defund’, hit Starz television series - Heels, crime series - ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ and HBO Max series - ‘Sex Lives of College Girls’.
From collaborating with DJ 4Korners to showcasing his versatility in various genres, EverythingOShauN's talent knows no bounds. Most recently EverythingOShauN collaborated with Nigeria’s biggest rapper and hottest artist, ODUMODUBLCK on the remix of his highly acclaimed record ALA BEKE. ALA BEKE 2 quickly garnered a huge co-sign from Spotify by being placed on editorial playlist cover for their global playlist, ‘Crxss Current’.
In 2024, he released ENERGY IS EVERYTHING, an album celebrated for its fusion of global sounds. From the soulful amapiano log drums of South Africa and vibrant rhythms of Nigerian highlife and afrobeats to alté shakers, dancehall drum patterns, Arabic strings, and drama-filled opera choruses, he creates a powerful soundscape framed by a Hiphop/Rap intensity. The album explores themes of intercultural connection, the immigrant story, resilience, motivation, and triumphant celebration, culminating with the Igbo word "imene," a traditional expression of gratitude even before receiving life’s blessings.
Expect more, soon.
