Brownwell Entertainment LLC was founded in 2013 by the husband-and-wife team Jamie and Lyndee Brown. Our mission is to create independent films and noteworthy television series that tell unique stories, leaving a lasting impression on audiences worldwide.

In 2017, Brownwell Entertainment released its debut feature film “Friends Don’t Let Friends” through Gravitas Ventures, making it available on all streaming platforms.

In addition to Brownwell projects, Jamie has written feature scripts for several companies, including "Fatal Getaway," produced by MarVista Entertainment, which premiered on the Lifetime Movie Network in 2019 and directs/edits music videos for talented artists like Mari Nobre and Jesse Blaze. In 2021, Jamie wrote the independent found footage horror film "Wendigo," currently streaming on Tubi. We have included a list of our past projects available to purchase or stream at the links below. So much of the independent landscape is motivated by online reviews and word-of-mouth recommendations so if you like any of the projects listed below, please take a moment to review them on their respective sites.

Friends Don't Let Friends: A group of friends come together to cover up a crime of passion. They travel deep into the desert to bury the body where they become stranded and fear that no one will make it out alive. You can currently watch Friends Don't Let Friends for free on Tubi.

We Are But Human: A short story anthology covering the werewolf sub-genre where each character falls prey to their animal instincts while dealing with the world around them.

Hollywood 666: A collection of horror stories told by crew members in the entertainment industry. Tales of FX artists who accidentally create real monsters to the Hollywood nannies who bear witness to the apocalypse.

Fatal Getaway: When a woman rents a property for vacation, the owner is charming but may also be responsible for the recent disappearances of other young women. Jamie wrote the screenplay for MarVista Entertainment which distributed the film via Lifetime TV worldwide. Fun fact: Fatal Getaway was originally pitched as a much darker horror story called ScareBnB. This screenplay was then translated into Spanish to be shot and produced under the title, Perfecto anfitrión in Barcelona, Spain.

In Search of the Experience: An off-road adventure documentary about the American Land Rover community that communicates and socializes on the repair message boards of the internet. Jamie was the DP on this documentary back in 2008 with Executive Producer/Director Elias Christeas on this 28-day round-trip adventure covering the greatest trail driving America has to offer.

The Wendigo: Ignoring the legend of a dangerous spirit haunting a North Carolina forest, a group of influencers search for a friend who has vanished in the woods. Jamie came on as a writer for this found-footage horror film.
