Sharing Member Wisdom!
As part of the visiting program, Members visit with a pair of students once a week for several weeks. Everyone brings their own style to the experience, and everyone benefits from improved social health through meaningful connection.
Recently, Members shared these insights with the departing students:
"Beneath the mask there is more than just flesh, there are ideas and ideas are bulletproof." - J. C.
"Just keep loving people- it's just that simple." -Rebecca P.
"People can't even begin to imagine how powerful the mind truly is." - L. S.

Call for Art Project Volunteers!
6 week project
Last year, we had the opportunity to co-create an artwork with Pacific Tower and Fifth Avenue Terrace (featured here!), and the results were magical! We'll be doing another project like this and we need your help. Will you join us to make new friends as we collaborate on one beautiful artwork to share at the end of our six week project?
Please reach out to Anastasio (971-202-7451, awrobel@maybellecenter.org) if you want to join us this year! We'll have more details to share soon.

We invite all current and potential volunteers to join us for our Volunteer Mixer! We'll have a brief training session, with valuable insights, along with ample time for sharing ideas, discussing concerns, and connecting with fellow volunteers.
It is a great opportunity to engage, learn, and contribute. We look forward to seeing you there and fostering a collaborative environment of belonging!
Notes from the October Member Forum
First, Jennifer introduced our new Outreach Coordinator, Anastasio Wrobel! If you haven’t met them yet, be sure to say hi next time you’re in the Community Room!
Shane spoke about some of the work the work the team has been doing around researching belonging and creating a Theory of Change. They spoke about our four pillars of belonging, including: Opportunities, Motivations, Competencies, and Narratives.
Shane also shared that we need more Members involved in our member Ambassador Council. (If you are interested, connect with Shane!)
Jennifer spoke about some of the upcoming opportunities and changes in Arts and Culture, and general offerings:

Ongoing Opportunities
Changes to ongoing opportunities:
- Community Room hours will be slightly different in 2025: Mondays 1-3 PM stays the same, and Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays will now open at 10:30 AM and close at 2:30 PM.
