Attention Beginning Band Members – Band Shirt Monday

We are taking our Group Picture for the Yearbook on Monday 3/9. All beginning band students need to wear their current Rogers Band t-shirt for the picture. We have been reminding students all week to remember their shirt on Monday. We are the first group to get our picture for the day.

Beginner 4th 9-weeks Project

All of our beginners are starting to work on their BIG 4th 9-weeks pass-off project. They are working to pass-off major scales and also lines out of the book. We will keep track with a sticker/pass-off chart. This a great project that students can move at their own pace.

Congratulations Jazz Band

Congratulations to the Jazz Band for winning 3rd place at the TCU Jazz Festival!! We were also awarded 2 outstanding musicians so a round of applause for….

Symphonic Band UIL Contest Success

Congratulations to Symphonic Band on earning unanimous 1st division ratings from all judges at UIL today. They represented Rogers at the Highest Level. Way to Go!!

Wind Ensemble UIL 3/27 and Dallas Winds Invitation 4/3

UIL concert and Sight-Reading contest for Wind Ensemble will be held on Friday, 3/27 with a 1:25pm performance time at Wakeland High school. All parents, family and friends are invited for this performance. UIL Itinerary   Wind Ensemble will compete in the Dallas Winds Invitational on Friday 4/3. They will get to perform in the Meyerson Symphony Center in downtown Dallas at 10:00am. Playing in this world class concert hall is a once in a lifetime experience for most. This competition is free to attend and open to anyone so it’s a great opportunity to watch a concert in this extraordinary concert hall. Dallas Winds Invitations Itinerary.

Thank you to all of the students, parents and families who contributed to Mrs. Ferris' baby shower and making it a special day. She was overwhelmed with gifts and we are so happy for her and her soon to be baby boy. Mrs. Ferris is such a huge part of the Rogers Band Program and we are so happy for the new addition to her family!!!
