2.45 billion won for 2+2 years
The Doosan Bears caught Hong Gun-hee, a right-handed bullpen pitcher who was released as a free agent.
Doosan announced on the 25th that it signed Hong Gun-hee for up to 2.45 billion won (down payment of 300 million won, total annual salary of 2.1 billion won, incentive of 50 million won) for 2+2 years.
Doosan explained, "The total contract for the first two years is KRW 950 million," adding, "After the two-year contract was over, it included a two-year, 1.5 billion won player option."
Hong Gun-hee was traded to Doosan during the 2020 season after joining the KIA Tigers as a second-round pick of the rookie draft in 2011.
In his 237 games as a Doosan Bears player, Hong had 12 wins, 24 losses and 39 holds 44 saves and an ERA of 3.46 in 237 games. His overall career record is 21 wins, 44 losses, 49 saves, and an ERA of 5.10 in 403 games.
A Doosan official said, "We negotiated on the premise that he is a necessary player for the team because he has consistently taken the center of the bullpen for four years," adding, "We look forward to seeing good performances both on and below the mound."
Hong Gun-hee said, "I've been wearing Doosan uniforms, but my mindset is new," adding, "The only goal is to show better performance on the mound as much as I've kept you waiting for a long time." 먹튀검증
