We will explore the beautiful depths of the rainforest with Rainforest Expeditions expert guides and combine it with conscious movement and breath work guided by an experienced yoga & movement instructor (Yoga Alliance certified) with over twenty years of practice and teaching experience.
MARIA JAVIERA ALARCON ACHIU
Originally from Chile, Javiera lives in Calca (in the Sacred Valley of Cusco) where she runs her yoga school & studio .
Trained as a dancer, Javiera began practicing yoga in the year 2000 at Yogashala, a pioneering school in her native Santiago (Chile) where she studied and deepened her knowledge until 2015, when she moved to Peru.
She has worked as an assistant to renawn Gustavo Ponce and has taken numerous seminars and studies through the years with different teachers and methods.
Javiera's methodology is a mixture of different yoga "styles", free movement, dance and play.

Has studied with: Lino Miele, John Scott, Matthew Vollmer, Anne Nuotio, Peter Sanson, Abhijata Iyengar, Swami Digambar and Marcia de Luca among others.

Everything makes sense when you look for coherence and that has been what I seek constantly in my walk since I saw that I had the power to choose.
This happened to me when I was 21 years old thanks to a volunteer trip in the jungle of Peru, my country of origin, that was my first wow moment.
Since then I have taken steps towards the search for coherence in my life and that gave a clear meaning to everything. Suddenly everything became easier and easier, as if a ray of light illuminated the path and I only had to make sure that my choices fit within that ray of light.
Combining my passion and experience for traveling, yoga (which I practice for over 15 years and teach) I began to created guided journeys of immersions in Pristine Nature to inspire others find their own light, so it can give direction to their journeys in life and help them thrive as I believe the potency of life we find in nature is the true healer.
I was born in Perú 56 years ago, after traveling and exploring part of the world I met a wonderful man in Santiago de Chile and that led us to stay here for the last 24 years. We came to the island of Chiloé, and began to create a family and a life that was coherent with our beings and our dreams. In Chiloé we live and run Chil-hue a Nature Sanctuary we created and nurture to give others a chance to be in nature.
We work towards being consistent with our dreams and changes that we want to see in the world, and are also partners in Isla Natura de Chile with whom we create super food products with Chilean wild superfruits harvested organically with farmers of our community.
