Opening Acrobat in a Windows environment
Step 1: Open the MS Word
1. Using Microsoft Word create the form you want to make interactive as a (.docx).
Step 2: Identify Form Fields
1. Identify the areas in your document where you want to add interactive form fields, including text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, digital signatures, and date fields (this could be a simple as an underlined space).
Step 3: Save as .docx or .pdf
1. Save your Word document as a DOCX or PDF. Go to "File" > "Save As" >

You need to make sure your document is not still open in MS Word - and don't be surprised if Acrobat has trouble with your fonts....
Step 5: Add Form Fields
1. Add text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, and digital signature fields using the toolbar.

Step 7: Adjust Form Field Properties
1. Customize the properties of each form field, including digital signature fields and date fields.

1. Once satisfied, save the PDF document.
2. Consider saving a backup of the original PDF for future reference.
Step 11: Digital Signatures
1. To sign the document digitally, click on the "Certificates" panel in the left sidebar.
2. Choose "Digitally Sign" and follow the on-screen instructions to create or import your digital signature.
3. Place the digital signature in the designated signature field.
Step 12: Save the Signed Document
1. Save the document after applying the digital signature.
2. Distribute the finalized interactive form with digital signatures and date fields as needed.
