Free Agency:
- Jets Franchise Tag Breece Hall
The Jets see Hall as a franchise piece. It was a surprise when he wasn’t traded at the deadline, and now Breece is set to become a free agent. Hall is only 24 years old, coming off his best season with 1000+ yards, and is in his prime. The Jets still have millions left in cap space, so if the Jets want to at least keep a piece of their offense tagging Breece Hall would be the top option for them.
2. Steelers go all-in on offense
There are a lot of offensive pieces in free agency. The Steelers have big needs, since Aaron Rodgers is up in the air, and they have a terrible receiving core so going all-in on free agency is a must. Sadly the QB market is terrible right now but there is 1 reliable option in free agency. Malik Willis. Over the last two years Willis has some of the best stats in the league. He didn’t throw a single interception, but he did throw 6 TDs and he threw a near 80% completion percentage. Malik Willis is probably the best QB available, so he is the one the Steelers should target. Who should they get at WR then? Alec Pierce is one of the leagues best deep ball receivers, and he is coming off his best career year. He topped 1,000 receiving yards in 2025, and four touchdowns in the last three games, and he led the league in yards per catch. He would be a perfect target for Malik Willis. The Steelers will need to go all-in like this if they want to make the playoffs again.
3. Chargers get Herbert some help.
It didn’t help Herbert that Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater were injured, but their offensive line was still terrible either way. The Chargers were one of the leagues worst teams in pass block win rate, so who could help them? Tyler Linderbaum. He is one of the league’s best centers being top 5 in run blocking win rate. Linderbaum is looking for a big deal, and since the Chargers have over 70 million in cap, the Chargers have to make a push. Bringing in Linderbaum would help the offense massively and bring the Chargers back to the Playoffs.
Trading Period Opens
- A.J Brown won’t get moved
A.J Brown is the #1 talked about trade target in the NFL. But when you ask the Eagles organization he is never getting traded. The Eagles management has made it clear that A.J Brown is an untouchable piece to the Eagles offense, but trading Brown isn’t even about that. Teams wouldn’t want him. A.J Brown would bring such a cap hit to any team, and the only teams that need A.J Brown don’t have the money and they are negative in cap. The Eagles without A.J Brown would destroy their offense and they would never be back to the Super Bowl. The Eagles shouldn’t trade Brown, and I don’t think they will.
2. Are the Raiders Buyers or Sellers? Or are they doing both?
Maxx Crosby is another talked about trade target around the league, but why would the Raiders move on from him? The Raiders have a very good offense. Yes I said that. They have Fernando Mendoza, Brock Bowers, and Klint Kubiak is the perfect guy to guide Jeanty. But the Raiders receivers and defense are terrible besides Crosby. That’s why they could trade Crosby. The Raiders could get an absolute haul out of Crosby including for defensive or receiving pieces, and not as much picks. The Raiders also have the 2nd most cap in the league in free agency though, so they could just build there. I do think to have a stable defense, the Raiders shouldn’t trade Crosby, but maybe other players for more pieces.
