Construction Updates

Kraus-Anderson (KA) is making progress a $12.195 million renovation at Spring Grove schools located at 113 2nd Ave. Northwest in Spring Grove, Minn.

Designed by ISG, the 95,000-square-foot project includes a remodel of the existing CTE and Shop classroom building, and renovations to the academic and commons areas, cafeteria, restrooms and locker rooms. The HVAC and windows also will be replaced and interior finishes will be upgraded throughout school.

Completed and Ongoing Work

• We are currently working in the CTE Building, Auxiliary Gym, and East Wing of the building.
• CTE / Shop Building is finishing interior finishes and scheduled to be completed by early August.
• Asbestos Abatement throughout the project is all completed.
• Mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough ins are in progress throughout the project.
• Mechanical ductwork and piping is being insulated as the product is being installed and inspected.
• Existing glass block assemblies have been demolished throughout the project.
• New aluminum Window Frames and Glazing are being installed throughout the project in the classrooms.
• Various Equipment concrete pads have been poured to prepare for new electrical and mechanical equipment installation.
• The new ceiling grid is in process of being installed in the high school portion of the building to prepare for new ceiling tiles to be installed.
• The new restrooms on the main floor next to the kitchen are being framed and drywalled, preparing for the final finishes to be installed.

Upcoming Work

• New HVAC equipment will be installed on the roof and in the mechanical rooms.
• New electrical switch gear will be installed to feed all the new mechanical equipment.
• Select new finishes will be installed throughout the project (Flooring, Paint, Doors, Lockers, ceramic tile, ceilings, etc.).
• New Kitchen equipment will be installed.
• Mechanical, electrical and plumbing finishes will be starting to be installed in the upcoming weeks.
• Existing and some new shop equipment will be installed in the CTE building.
• Phase 3 – Summer 2026.
