On the Road with NTSDE
During term 3, NTSDE staff have visited the following schools this term to support students with their studies.
Snapshots from the Territory: Term 3 Contact Visits
NTSDE proudly partners with more than 50 schools across the Northern Territory. We warmly welcome new schools joining our community, as well as schools returning to partner with us again, strengthening connections and supporting student learning together.
The Urban Experiences camp kicked off with a fishing adventure at Barramundi Adventures Darwin. It was a mixed haul of Barramundi and Golden Snapper, giving students a taste of Top End fishing. It was just the start of an action-packed 3 days full of learning, fun, and new experiences.
Connections by the Coast: Beach Picnic
A perfect day at Bundilla Beach! 10 students joined us for games, laughs and a sausage sizzle lunch. From basketball to beach chats, it was a great chance to connect and share stories of their distance education journeys. Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a great event!
Mini Urban Experiences: Abseiling
Students took on the cliffs at Bullocky Point as part of a mini Urban Experiences day! 🧗♂️ Through abseiling, they built trust, confidence, and courage while learning to face their fears. A fantastic experience that pushed them outside their comfort zones and created lasting memories.
MINI Urban Experiences: Digital Skills Session
Students also visited The Array in Darwin City during the Mini Urban Experiences day. 🎮💻 They explored digital creativity through music technology, game design, and even an introduction to esports. An exciting hands-on session that sparked curiosity, built new skills, and showcased the endless possibilities of digital learning. 🚀
On the beach with Brutus and Frankie! 🐪🐪
Year 10 student Olivia is soaring sky-high with Heli Muster NT in Katherine. While gaining hands-on experience learning how to service, repair, and rebuild helicopters, Liv is also completing her compulsory subjects online through NTSDE. With her puppy Zade often by her side, she’s preparing to transition into a Cert IV in Aeroskills next year - proof that learning can happen anywhere.
