The Miracle that Keeps on Giving
It’s the Christmas Season again!
As I reflect on the situations in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, I really thank God we are able to celebrate Christmas in a peaceful country.
The message of Christmas is the Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. The theme for Christmas this year is “The Wonder of Christmas”. In so many ways, Christmas is a season of divine intervention and miraculous happenings.
Imagine the wonder of God coming in the form of human flesh. The Child, Jesus Christ, is God Himself.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” John 1:1-4
Imagine the wonder of God, having His Son conceived and born through a virgin.
“Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14
Imagine the wonder of God foretelling the birth of Jesus Christ a few hundred years before it happened.
"For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, an Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end,” Isaiah 9:6
Imagine the wonder of God foretelling the place of Jesus birth a few hundred years before it happened.
“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting.” Micah 5:2
Let us unite our faith and effort together to believe God for miracles during this season; not only for ourselves but also the many who have yet to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. May they receive the greatest miracle of all- the miracle of the new birth. “Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’” John 3:7
