The importance of creativity...
Creativity isn’t just a buzzword—it’s the key to unlocking deeper engagement, motivation, and real-world problem-solving in the classroom! Research confirms what I’ve always believed. When students are given the space to think outside the box, they thrive. As an educator who champions creation over consumption, I love designing learning experiences that spark curiosity and give students ownership of their ideas. Whether through gamified challenges, storytelling, or digital design, I can integrate creativity into everyday instruction, ensuring that my students aren’t just absorbing information but actively making, expressing, and innovating. -And now Napkin AI has quickly created an infographic to display on my wall I can easily point to during any administrators' visit!
Beyond the audience of one...
In 2012, I began exploring what a digital classroom could truly look like. Our school was on a mission to figure it out, and I quickly discovered the power of breaking down traditional classroom walls. I realized that if I could get a link to something, I could share it with the world! Since then, every lesson I create or every educator I coach, I always ask: How can this go beyond an audience of one? Students are far more engaged and invested when they’re creating for a real audience rather than just one teacher who might provide feedback weeks later. A simple link can make that sharing instant, transforming learning into something dynamic, meaningful, and truly connected.
The power of VERBS!
(I actually took a screenshot of this before even checking out the sample site—LOL!) It’s the perfect snapshot of words that can inject creativity into any learning objective. Beyond just memorizing it, I’m printing it out for my office wall and sharing it with the teachers I coach so they can display it in their classrooms. It’s a simple yet powerful reminder that creativity can easily be at the heart of every lesson!
How will you/do you integrate Adobe teaching resources into your teaching?
Using Adobe Express Exchange feels like having a treasure chest of ideas right at my fingertips! I can easily browse for inspiration, and when I find that spark, the resources I need are right there, ready to go. I also LOVE diving into the Professional Learning library, where I can pause and learn something new anytime. While I’ve been busy exploring these sections, my goal is to expand my engagement in the community, connect with other educators, and become an active part of this creative ecosystem too!
