"Character, Integrity, Resilience. These three words are rooted here in Porter-Gaud. My 12 years at PG with the support of teachers, coaches, and friends, gave me the sense of self and resilience to do anything I set my mind out to do. I look back at all those times spent in practices with my teammates, in the classroom with teachers helping me to strive to be a better thinker, and in the PG community creating countless special memories throughout my time at Porter-Gaud. I wanted to be a part of the PG Alumni Board to give back to this special community that helped me become the person I am today. Go Cyclones!" – Turner Fabian '16

The Porter-Gaud Foundation is an arm of Porter-Gaud School, and its primary focus is fulfilling the fundraising needs of the school. Philanthropy has played a significant role in the development of our campus and the growth of our dynamic student experience. Generous contributions from parents, alumni, grandparents, past parents, and friends who believe in the power of a Porter-Gaud education have helped to create and sustain our unique and vibrant learning community.

Lilies of the Field Playground

Our new playground opened in September to the delight of our Lower School students. We are so grateful to the many families who made this state-of-the-art space possible through their generosity. This much-needed upgrade makes it possible for our students to climb, slide, swing, play sports, or just relax and admire the beautiful view in a safe, age-appropriate facility.

THE NEW CYCLONETRON

If you went to a game at the stadium this fall, you probably noticed our new Cyclonetron. This new video board allows us to enhance the spectator experience at Singleton Field with improved video and sound quality. We are grateful to our title sponsors for the project: Refuel, PGPA, The Taylor Family, and Truist Bank.

"As a current teacher, coach, 12-year society alumnus, and now parent of two daughters at Porter-Gaud, it is amazing to see the positive impact that each of their teachers has in their lives." – Hugh Knight '04, Fine Arts Faculty and Track and Cross Country Head Coach

Tennis Court Lights

"The installation of the lights on our tennis courts has been a game-changer for the program. Being able to play after dark allowed us to officially create a JV boys and girls team, expanding our reach to students who might otherwise not have an opportunity to play and experience all of the wonderful lessons tennis has to offer." - Tracey Zirneklis, Director of Tennis

On October 7, 2022, our Porter-Gaud family gathered together for a day of school spirit to celebrate what it is to be a Cyclone!

More than 330 donors sent a powerful message of commitment by raising over $110,000 in support of The Cyclone Fund!

This generous and outstanding support on #DayforPG is crucial in equipping the school with the resources it needs to proactively embrace opportunities, fostering an environment where all students have the opportunity to thrive and succeed in their chosen paths. Thank you!

"The value of my experience at Porter-Gaud extends well beyond a diploma. My time there led to many friendships and continues to open doors. As parents, Joel and I are grateful to be part of this unique community that has encouraged Porter-Gaud to grow and yet continue to exhibit the same heart and core values. We give back to support the school’s continued effort to offer broad opportunity for current students to achieve their full potential." – Casey Iglehart '03

The New Chapel

Worship is one of the most universal and effective expressions of Episcopal identity and community life. When we gather for worship, we immerse ourselves in the traditions, stories, and values that serve as the anchors of our community, seeking to center our hearts and minds around the love of God revealed to us in the person of Jesus Christ. Placed at the front of campus, the new chapel will serve as a visual representation of Porter-Gaud’s commitment to our Episcopal identity and how we live out our mission and core values. Mindfully designed in the style of the original St. Timothy’s Chapel on the former Porter Military Academy campus, the new chapel will seat 600 people and create amazing opportunities for fellowship, discussion, contemplation, and worship. With faith as its core purpose, this new full-sized chapel will be a sacred space dedicated to awakening, enlightening, and nurturing the spirits of all who enter.
