A VIDEO ART DIARY BY INA KUTULAS, HANNA VON BEESKOV & ASTERIS KUTULAS
365 DAYS | 365 SHORT POEMS | 365 VIDEO BLINKS
365 Minutes Video Diary Loop
EGOciety is a collaborative audiovisual diary by Ina Kutulas, Hanna von Beeskow, and Asteris Kutulas, consisting of 365 poetic texts and 365 visual "blinks"—one for each day of the year. It forms a unique visual manifesto of subjectivity, created by three individual artists in synchrony.
Ina writes a tristichon - a three-liner - every day for a year, 365 short poems in total, while Hanna and Asteris record their impressions on film every day. All three are self-confessed creative egoists, nervous and restless, each for himself, each in company. Walking down the street, crossing squares, working at the table and in the sky, sound material, plastic, rice, Immortelle, screen, housewares, plaster, sleep, acrylic, fibers, scissors, spray, liquid ... control room door.
EGOciety - the very own thing, the relationship box, the power room of existence and being here.
Not a well-rehearsed team moving through the months, weeks and days, through changes of weather, light and mood. Each in their own space, but all three in Berlin, the city where they express themselves and where their individual artistic languages permeate and connect with each other.
The common, invisible point of the EGOciety project is like something out of a fairy tale: The three gather, stick three knives into a tree stump, walk away, and when one or another of them returns, the knife blades are shiny or rusty. The process involves selective reassurance of each other, otherwise the three scatter in all four directions, in all four seasons, in the United States of Love.
Project Vision
EGOciety as a monumental installation—projected onto an iconic building. Merging poetic language and visual rhythm to form an immersive, dual-language video artwork, experienced in public space.
One façade will display the original German texts, a second façade will present the English translation. Each projection will be visually and thematically aligned, inviting viewers to physically navigate between the two projection spaces and engage with the polyphonic experience—mentally, emotionally, and linguistically.
Collaboration with Ross Ashton
The projection will be realised in partnership with renowned projection artist Ross Ashton, whose expertise in large-scale architectural projection will ensure the transformation of the urban space into a dynamic "canvas of the self."
Experiencing multiple visual narratives simultaneously—each text and each video clip forming part of a larger collective diary.
The viewer becomes an editor: constantly shifting between text and image, language and architecture, stillness and motion. The chosen landmark becomes both a sanctuary of reflection and a screen of contemporary inner worlds.
EGOciety is a poetic and visual act of presence. It places the individual ego in dialogue with collective memory, using an iconic building as a spatial storyteller. This project is an urban diary of our time.

365 TAGE | 365 KURZGEDICHTE | 365 VIDEO BLINKS
365 Minuten Video Tagebuch Loop
