Mission Goal: Create a series of images of people playing traditional tabletop games featuring one person or more captured from various angles and perspectives. All tabletop games featured must be non-branded and free from intellectual property issues.
Deliverables:
- Upload 400-600 images per Mission submission of one person or more playing a single type of tabletop game.
- You can submit up to 5 Missions, but each Mission submission should show significant differences in people, location and tabletop games.
- Consider participating in the Videos of People Playing Tabletop Games by capturing images and video clips from the same shoot. We recommend focusing on one type of asset at a time rather than shooting both simultaneously. This approach allows for better optimization of each type of content.
- Keywording and retouching are not required.
- No need for metadata or post-processing.
- Submission deadline is June 17th, 2024.
Important Information:
- Images submitted to Missions should NOT currently be in Adobe Stock.
- Generative AI content is not accepted.
- Model releases are required for this Mission.
- You will receive the total payment amount displayed in the Adobe Stock Contributor Portal for each approved Mission submission of 400-600 images.
- Payment processing for accepted submissions can take up to 15 business days.
Casting: We are open to seeing diverse people representing various ages, ethnicities, genders, sexual identities, body sizes, and physical abilities.
- You can submit up to 5 Missions, but each Mission submission should ideally feature different people.
- If reusing the same people, ensure each Mission submission varies significantly in people's appearances (such as clothing changes) and locations to maximize submission variety.
Game Types: The type of tabletop games we are seeking are traditional, non-branded games typically played on a flat surface. Suggested examples include:
- Chess
- Checkers
- Jacks
- Dominos
- Building blocks
- Card games
- Backgammon
- Tic-tac-toe
- Dice games
- Mahjong
We are open to additional games that fit the traditional, non-branded criteria. Avoid board games with copyrighted logos, names, and designs, such as Monopoly, Dungeons and Dragons, Scrabble, Uno, Catan, Battleship, Risk, Pictionary, Sorry!, Connect Four, Othello, etc.
Any Mission submissions with intellectual property (IP) issues will be rejected during the moderation process and contributors won’t be compensated for such submissions.
Mission Guidance: Each Mission submission upload should amount to 400-600 images of one person or more playing a single type of tabletop game.
- People can play tabletop games solo or in larger groups.
- Encourage natural interactions and expressions among players.
- Prioritize capturing the movement of hands as they interact with game pieces.
- Avoid stationary camera positions where you set up your camera and don’t move it for the duration of the shoot.
A variety of images is essential to your submission to produce the most varied dataset possible per submission. Use focal length, angles/heights, and camera-to-subject distance to capture your tabletop games in diverse and interesting ways. Take wide shots to set the scene, medium shots to tell a story as the game unfolds (from setting up to finish) and close-ups to focus on hands holding game pieces.
Locations: Images can be taken indoors or outdoors where it’s realistic to play tabletop games. Pay attention to potential intellectual property (IP) issues such as logos, brand names, and advertisements on walls and buildings.
Clothing: You can photograph your subjects wearing the same or different clothing within each submission. Ensure the clothing does not contain brand names, pictures, or logos.
Lighting: Use natural or artificial lighting as available.
Similar Content: Avoid submitting lengthy series of near duplicates. It’s okay for a Mission submission to include a few series from the same scene, but only to a point. Missions with images that are too similar and repetitive will be rejected.
Please see this link for in-depth information about our criteria for near-similar series content.
Preparing Your Images for Upload:
Title Your Mission Submission: Provide a brief description of the subject(s) and the tabletop game. Example: White female girl playing chess in a park with a friend.
