- We’re observing Consent Week Feb. 3 – 6 with a variety of events focused on healthy relationships. Check out the schedule posted here.
- On Thursday, join us for the Border Voices Lecture Series, “A Reading and Conversation with Award-winning Author Elizabeth González James” at 6:30 p.m. at the Villa Antigua Border Museum (downtown) at 810 Zaragoza Street. Admission is free of charge and open to the public.
- On Friday, check out the String Connection Recital at 7:30 p.m. in the CFPA Recital Hall.
- Coming up: Mark your calendar for Coffeehouse Wednesday, Feb. 12, 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the Career Café (STC 114). We’ll be joined by guest presenter Fernando Martinez (’20), Project Engineer with UPS.

City of Laredo Tennis Complex at TAMIU Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Held
The long-cherished dream of tennis play on courts at TAMIU became a new reality Thursday, January 30 with formal ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the 18-court facility.
Known as the City of Laredo Tennis Complex at TAMIU, the project grew from joint efforts by the City of Laredo Parks and Recreation Department, TAMIU Athletics Department, Laredo Tennis Association, and the United States Tennis Association.
Third Offering of Border Voices Lecture Series Features Author Elizabeth González James Thursday, Feb. 6
The third offering in TAMIU's Border Voices Lecture Series, scheduled Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, will feature author Elizabeth González James. “A Reading and Conversation with Award-winning Author Elizabeth González James” will occur at 6:30 p.m. at the Villa Antigua Border Museum (downtown) at 810 Zaragoza Street.
Admission is free of charge and open to the public.
