As we enter May and the days get warmer, please be cognizant of our NASD Dress Code. Tank tops, slippers, shirts that reveal the midriff, see-through shirts, and shirts with a low neckline are not permitted to be worn during the school day. In addition, clothing intended to be worn under clothing should not be worn by itself.

Digital Storytelling/Video Production & TV Studio
Digital Storytelling/ Video Production and TV Studio will be available for a small group of students for the 2024-2025 school year. The courses will be offered during the school day and will be scheduled as one of your related arts classes. Address Changes
Have you moved? If you have recently moved, please provide two new proofs of residency and email them to gordona@nasdschools.org. We will then update your Sapphire account for mailings and transportation. This is important so you do not miss any valuable information or letters that may be sent home. Please remember you can also update phone numbers and e-mail addresses on Sapphire.
Working Papers
Working papers must be completed through the High School Guidance Office. Please click the link to view the information and application for work permits. This is available for students age 14 and up. It is preferable that the student has a job lined up before completing the paperwork.
After-School Small Group Tutoring Program Club

Tuesday - 5/14 - Cast and Crew Party until 3:30. Pick-up will be 3:30 in the bus loop.
Band
Our Spring concert is Tuesday, May 21st at 7:00pm in the HS auditorium. No tickets required but we will accept donations to the Northampton area Band Parents Association. Please see the email from the Charms account about scheduling for middle school ensembles next year.
Marching Band
The NAHS Marching Band is looking for new members in all sections, especially Color Guard and Percussion (marching drums and keyboards), and we want you to join us! Membership in the group is open to all students in grades 8-12 for the 2024-25 School Year. No experience is required!
7th & 8th Grade Chorus
It’s a big week! Concert Week! On Tuesday, May 14 we have after school from 2:30-3:30. Our last chance to practice with both 7th and 8th grade together.
On Thursday, we will have our dress rehearsal at the High School. Please be sure that your field trip papers are signed.
On Friday, we have our concert. Be at the high school on the risers by 5:55 PM. Doors open for parents with tickets at 6:30 PM. Concert starts at 7 PM. Great work everyone!

6TH GRADERS
***Need a PHYSICAL EXAM on file. If they have had a well visit in 5th grade, please send it to the nurse office with an immunization record. If they are scheduled for a well visit, please send in a copy of the visit and a shot record after the appointment.
**** MCV and Tdap(need to receive during 6th grade year) Will not be able to start 7th grade without a record of immunizations
7TH GRADERS
*****DENTAL EXAM ( Can be done during 6th or 7th grade)
MEDICATION FORMS

Completed by the doctor for each school year and brought to school by adult with medication.
OVER THE COUNTER MEDICATION
We are able to give students medication from the approved list but we need parental consent each year. The form can be found here. Consent can also be given in Sapphire via the backpack

Procedural Reminders
- *Cellphones, earbuds, and other personal electronic devices are not permitted throughout the school day.
- Doors open at 7:09 a.m., and homeroom begins at 7:24. Students not in the homeroom at 7:24 will be marked tardy.
- All student absences require a parent/doctor’s note within three days of the student’s return to school.
- Remember, you should only be visiting sites assigned by the teacher during specific class periods. Remember, we can see you wherever you go online!

Food Pantry

The food pantry will also accept donations of non-perishable, non-expired food items, backpacks, hygiene items and reusable water bottles. Donations can be dropped off throughout the year with security at the main entrance.

Low cost Internet options
The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC program to help families and households struggling to afford internet service. This program replaces the former Emergency Broadband Benefit. This new benefit will connect eligible households by providing up to $30 per month per qualified household for Internet Access. In many cases, this benefit can provide families with free Internet access.
