Over the past two years, I have seen how God has sustained me and encouraged me to keep going in the midst of a slow and complex process, but I have seen God's love and faithfulness, especially because I have had people like you, who have been faithful in supporting me and believing in the calling God has given me. First of all, thank God, because on January 17, God gave me the opportunity to become a member of Pioneers Mexico and Pioneers International. I already have my membership card. Once again, thank God for keeping me steadfast and patient despite the time and difficulties. However, I still have to finish some Bible courses. I am currently studying two courses and have three more to go. The courses have practically multiplied, so I am currently still in that process of study, learning from the Word of God.
Below is an excerpt from the letter I received as a member.
"The Pioneers Mexico family congratulates you on your determination and commitment throughout this training period. After consulting with the Directors of Pioneers Mexico, your Pastor, Area Leaders, and PI Team Leaders, we have made the decision to complete your process as a Candidate for Pioneers Mexico. We are very honored to extend an invitation to you to become a Member of Pioneers Mexico and Pioneers International: 01/17/2026."
NK
NK's doors remain closed since the COVID-19 situation. As a result, many of the workers are located in China, Japan, and other countries, while others are in training or preparing to use their knowledge in a future NK project. For my part, in my previous letter I asked you to support me in prayer as I had applied for a student visa to go to China. God responded according to His perfect will, and I was not granted the visa. The first thing I did when I received the response was to thank God, because He knows absolutely everything, is in control, and always allows everything to happen for a purpose. I am going to quote some verses from Genesis that show Joseph's reaction to his brothers. He practically recognizes that being sold and going through difficult trials was for the purpose of fulfilling God's will in preserving the lives of his family. Although he did not know it at first.
Genesis 45:5 ESV
And now do not be distressed or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life
Genesis 50:20 ESV
As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today. Just as Joseph understood God's will, I also understand that the denial of this type of visa has a purpose. I continue to pray, prepare, and wait, while the organization must meet with area leaders and seek God's guidance to know what the options are and where God wants me to be during this time of preparation before entering NK. I know that God's timing is perfect and that what God has started, He will finish. Every day I remind myself that it is important to be patient and trust God, and to rest in the certainty that He is in control. When I look back on everything God has done since He called me in 2018 until today, it is incredible and miraculous. I praise God for that and know that it has not been in vain.
Family
This month I accompanied my mother to the doctor because she has been suffering from high blood pressure, as well as other high readings, and I have been supporting her. God has been faithful and has provided everything. I remind you that the issue of health here in Venezuela is complicated because the health centers are in chaos, but even so, God has provided, and I have been able to buy her medications and have her tests done. I also need to have some hormone tests done, among other things.
For now, I am focused on:
- Continuing to trust that God is in control and will guide the pioneer leaders and leaders of the various areas with His wisdom to make decisions about my next steps according to His perfect will.
- Continuing to study at the two Bible institutes, as I must complete all the courses.
- Continuing to study Korean.
- Continuing to hold prayer meetings for North Korea.
- Continuing to mobilize the Venezuelan church on the issue of the persecuted church.
- I need to have some medical checkups.
Gratitude
I thank God for the great team He has placed by my side: you, who have sustained me in prayer, finances, messages, etc., and have been an invaluable support in this process. I thank God that I am officially a member of the mission agency (Pioneer). Thank you, God, for the denial of the student visa to China. I am sure that His plans are better and that everything has a purpose. Thank God for giving me peace amid the uncertainty in the country. He has been faithful, and my family and I rest in His care, peace, and provision. Thank God, because in the prayer request list I asked you to pray for perseverance and patience, and God has been faithful and has heard this prayer.
Prayer requests
May I love our Lord more, with devotion. May I love His Word, long for His presence, experience His joy, and be a good steward for His glory. Let us pray for perseverance, patience, and faith. Wisdom to continue learning the Korean language. Humility, submission, and absolute dependence on God. Continue to trust that God will take control and guide the pioneer leaders and leaders of the various areas with His wisdom to make decisions about my next steps according to His perfect will. Wisdom to complete all pending courses. Provision to have all my medical checkups done.
